the average marking scheme and exam system which is too overwhelming

The employments opportunites are more for CSE but major companies does come for other majors too. for majors like ece and mechanical they can sit for cse too giving them more freedom in employment. Scholarships are also there and with good grades you get aids in fees also. but being the private instituition the aid is nothing compared to the fees we give.

The tution fees is based on your rank and branch. According to your branch the fees increases and decreases and talking about the complete cost of my education it will be around 12 to 15 lakhs including everything hostel mess food etc my expensories everything it will be around 15 lakhs and scholarship is given to the top 1000 ranks in VITEEE examination. That also if you continue to get good marks. And if you get a backlog in between the course then they will stop giving you scholarship. Other than that the toppers after every sem get a scholarship along with the certificate. That's scholarship is around thousand rupees but if you get a good score in VITEEE examination you get a good scholarship of amount 50000 Rs. The hostel fees is higher but the course fees is not that high if you have a good rank in VITEEE other than that the course fees not that much but hostel fees and Mess's fees is like very high.

my experience with vit university

To be honest, the fee here is high even for category 1 students, and very high for 2-5 category students. I got admitted to Category 1. But I heard that the fee is increasing here every 2-3 years. As of I know there is no financial assistance for B.tech students here.

Open book examination but only one exam CAT 2 weightage marks

Financial assistance is given to those who really need assistance like those whose parent's annual income is less than a few lakhs. The cost to study will for 50000 per year other than tuition fees. Other than this there is no other scholarship.

A college full of opportunities.

The college offers different fee structures for students based on their VITEEE ranks. Though the tuition fee is more or less same as most of the IITs, the hostels can become a bit expensive of a student wishes to live in a single-occupancy air-conditioned room, and take a special food mess. VIT has kept the options open to give students the liberty to choose the kind of hostel they want to live in and the mess they want to eat from.

My College

There was no fees hike for the past 5 years and it remains same. The total cost was affordable for a middle class family. My course costed my family around twenty lakhs. My college provides scholarship under GV School Development Programme. But i didn't qualify for any scholarships. I got my job after completing the course.
