Course Curriculum Overview

They have to really update the curriculum as core jobs require totally different skills that we learn at college. Must include the most important subjects in the curriculum. we had a mid sem and final sem exams. But this pattern is changed now. Exams are moderate level and a student can easily maintain an aggregate above 7

Placement Experience

4

By the end of 6th sem, placements starts. There are a good number of software companies visiting like hp, hcl, Moody's and many more with an average ctc of 7 lpa However there are very few companies right now visiting for core companies, but however opportunities are given. The placements are still going on. I am planning to get a job after this degree

Fees and Financial Aid

I got seat through KCET in MSRUAS under 3B category, hence, my fees for four years were distributed as follow: 1st year: Rs. 120000 2nd year: Rs. 85000 3rd year: Rs. 87000 4th year: Rs. 89000 Additionally, I received SSP scholarship of Rs.20000 pa

Campus Life

4

There's one yearly fest named Akaira every where during feb or march.. in the main branch campus(Mathikere branch). Is a good fest with a concert and dj night. Also, have a Rajyotsava day fest in the month of November. Also, there is freshers day and farewell day usually together and smtimes separate known as footprints. A new library has been set up with really good number of books and elibrary with access to many journals and subscriptions A sports room with gym and other games are available The NSS club takes up social initiatives Spoorthi and other athletic meets are held regularly

Admission

I had applied to many other Bangalore based colleges. I had got a confirm seat in presidency university in round 1 and 2 rounds of KCET counselling, i rejected the college as it was very far from my house and the quality of the students are better at MSRUAS also with a brand name. If u want to join MSRUAS, u can get a seat through KCET or also a private university based exam. Contact the university for more details

Faculty

Pretty good quality lecturers. The college has to update the curriculum every year so that students receive the necessary industry skills. Emphasis on practical learning and building projects from first year has to be inculcated in the regular college assessment. They have to encourage students to enroll in necessary workshops.

Night Life

3

I am a day scholar and haven't got the opportunity to ever have a night out. There aren't any good places or cafés in and around college as it is in the middle of industries. However, canteen mess and Amul is available with average food. Amul serves really good burgers, sandwiches, soft drinks. The canteen has a few junk snacks available

Placement Experience:

At BMSIT, students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester onwards. A good number of companies visit the campus every year, including Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Cisco, Amazon, and Dell, among others. The highest package in recent years has gone above ?30 LPA, while the average package usually stays around ?6–7 LPA for CSE students. Around 80% of students get placed, mostly in roles like software development, web development, data science, and AI/ML engineering. Personally, after completing my degree, I plan to sit for campus placements and aim for a role in software development. I also want to continue upskilling in advanced areas like full-stack and AI to grow my career further.

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .
