What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the way they have kept too many activities such as clubs and sports for us to engage with each other
- I liked the way of teaching from the faculty members and they’re very friendly
- I like the amount of books and resources that are available in the library
Dislikes
- There are very little fests or any events done in the college
- We have very little exposure to the practical side of the branches
- The infrastructure is very small and there is shortage of classrooms
Course Curriculum Overview
The scope that my curriculum has had influenced me to choose this course. The curriculum prepares us only based on the theory aspect and very little for real world. The curriculum should have more practical sessions rather than classroom session. Timings and frequency of my exams are manageable and the difficulty level is also less.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester the students became eligible for placements. There are 150+ companies that visit our college every year. The highest package till now would be 45 lacks and average would be 10 lacks depending upon the branches. 70% of the students get placed. My plans after getting the degree would be pursuing my career.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fee paid is around 90k and it has been increasing year by year for 4 years. The fee structure is same for all the categories and there is no scholarships provided. The amount for each section depends every year according to the college's norms.
Campus Life
Annual fest would be Dindima which is celebrated on occasion of Kannada rajyotsava in the month of November every year. There are lots of books and journals available of all genres. The classrooms have projectors for ppt presentation. Sports and extra curricular actives are more for students. Yes there are many clubs which might impact the lives of students as well as society.
Admission
I had applied to many colleges in Bangalore but got MS Ramaiah in my admission form. I chose this college because of the promised placements and curriculum structure. I didn't get rejected in any college that I had applied because it was based on my merit. The admission process is either through government exams or management.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio must be 20:80. The faculties are very friendly and easily approachable except for few. The electrical department faculty is very friendly and the best. Still there are few of them whom we hate a lot. Exam levels are moderate and depends on each subject and the type of faculty we have. Not many fail the exam yet there are people who still have backlogs. The course curriculum is quite plain and needs more updated version.
Night Life
There is a private gym in the college only for the students. There are 3 cafeterias but not that good. Library and public is a nice place to be in. They all close around 6pm. Hostel timings would be 6.30am to 9pm for both girls and boys. Campus timings would be 8am to 6pm.
