Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is really relevant from second year, in first year they teach you the generalised and basic engineering subjects. The curriculum from second year onwards will really prepare you for whatever career you want to choose as the curriculum is directly related to real life work. The semesters are too crowded, the exams happen one after another which just forces us to prepare for exams without actually studying with the purpose of gaining knowledge, this is one apect that should be changed. Also many teachers just come to class and read off of ppts which is boring and takes the fun out of classes, this is another apect which needs to be worked upon. The exams are not really difficult but they are too frequent making you too exhausted to actually learn anything for a long period of time.

Internships Opportunities

4

Mamy comoanies offer internship including amazon, google, L and T, Tata. The stipend depends on the work you do during the internship and how was your gross output. The projects depends upon what intership program you are part of, for example if you are part of a web development team for some company you would be tasked with making websites amd related stuff.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees i paid was 4,17,700. First semester fees details: Admission Fees:17, 700 Caution Money :10, 000 It and digital infra charges:55, 000 Tuition fees:131, 500 Development Fees:9, 000 Institute Exam fee:7, 000 Hostel room rent:20, 000 The fees remains same for BTECH. Scholarship: 1.Based on JEE main rank : Above 1000 -100% 2.Based on merit: Above 9.5 Gpa-100% 3.In case of sudden demise of earning member of family -100% tuition fees waived.

Campus Life

3

BITOTSAV is one of the main annual festivals held usually between January to february. Other festivals include Pantheon, Deepotsav, Hackathon. The books available in library are enough for your course curriculum with books available on every topic. Classrooms are equipped with a screen projector to teach the students visually and also with ACs to maintain the ideal temperature. The benches are fine. Water coolers are provided at regular intervals so that we dont have to be thirsty. The sports and extra curricular activities offered are good but often the long tough hours of studying overshadow it, you cant play much with frequent exams and 8 hours of college everyday, not to mention frequent assignments and various lab works. The student run groups include BIT welfare society which looks after the students daily needs and works in changing them. Other clubs inculde Rotoract Club, Aveon Club, EDC, Finance club. These clubs help you learn some extra skills that will eventually help with placements.

Admission

I didn't apply to other colleges as this college was the best college very close to my home. I did give bitsat and had bits pilani as a choice but i didnt get good enough marks to pursue the career i wanted. The admission is based on JEE Mains AIR and happens through JoSAA and CSAB. Once allotted through these you need to visit the college to get admission forms . The minimum eligibility is to score an aggregate above 60% in boards, and you should have also given the JEE Mains Exam , from where the JoSAA decided what degrees yoh can pursue based on your JEE Mains rank. The overall admission experience is fine , there are banners and boards everywhere to guide the first time visiting students.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is 1:40. The relationship is genrally good and the faculties are really approachable, infact they encourage you to approach them when you have doubts. The exams are divided into two major ones:Mid semester exams (carrying 25 marks) and end semester exams (carrying 50 marks) Between these exams two quizzes are taken , each of 10 marks. An internal assessment is also done, constituting of 5 marks. The faculty that i liked were Payal Das who teaches mathematics -1 course and the reason being , she actually made a lot of effort towards everyone. She explained everything brilliantly. The faculty i didnt like was Anjana Dwivedi who teaches Biological Sciences for Engineeers and the reason being that she didn't really explain the related stuff in detail and would just read off of a ppt.

Night Life

4

The nightlife is alright, gyms are open till 8:30 P.M. Various cafeterias are often open till late at night and are usually filled with students. Library opens at 9:00 in the morning and closes at 8:00 P. M. Campus timing is till 5:20 P. M. Hostels dont usually have a fixed time and it depends on the warden and time of the year. The locality is safe to move around at night, there is not much to see in campus except the lush forests, if you want to explore you can go explore the adjoining city which houses many malls, falls and other various places.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement has been decreasing in a few years as of 2024.because the previous year there were only 7 companies for placement but it had placed many students but the problem is internship..students don't get internship from college and have to find by their own. I guess 50 % of students only get placed in bit from each branc and I don't expect a placement from this college as of its circumstances
