Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is really nice, there are many skills thought through the curriculum like statistics, GIS and remote sensing, environmental economics, sustainability and many more. These curriculum is very relevant for the placements in corporate, government exam and UGC NET for PhD and you can crack JRF with the curriculum too. In 1st/3rd semester usually in December, And 2nd/4th semester is in May/june.

Placement Experience

4

There is a placement cell in our department which brings companies for the placements. Last year there were 10-15 placement that happened with the average package of 5-7 lakh per annum. And many students also qualify JRF.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the first years master program in department of environmental studies for MA as well as MSc course in 2024 was 20144?. Other than that if you are applying for CUET PG exam it's registration fees would be different. Registration fees for CUET PG 2025 for upto two papers is ?1200 fir general category, ?1000 for EWS/OBC-NCL, and ?900 for SC/ST/ third gender. After CUET PG your have to register to the University of Delhi which has registration fees of ?250

Campus Life

4

Our department is for masters and PhD to there are not any fest as such. But we do organise freshers and farewell for or junior and seniors respectively. Other then that we also organise many seminar and events. Social life is fairly good in the department everyone interact with each other and ther are very friendly. Classes for 1st years takes place in auditorium which is very big and well air conditioned. Building is fairly old and washrooms are very small but it's fine

Admission

The curriculum of the college is the reason that made me wanna choose this college over others this curriculum is very relevant for placement, UGC NET and government exam. There are also time if you want to explore new things you can do that as well. Curriculum is also updated.

Faculty

5

Faculty to students ratio in the department is really good, we have mentor mentee program in college where 1 faculty is assigned to 4 or 5 students for mentorship and guidance. Dr. Radhey Sharma is a faculty of the department he is really friendly and teaches nicely. Dr. Biju is a faculty of our department, he is one of the famous biologist of India.

Night Life

3

Nightlife for the students that live in hostel is good you can go out and come late at night. Our department have it's ouw department library and there is also central science library both the library are nice and provide peaceful environment for study. Delhi University cafeteria food is also good and affordable

Other Applied Colleges

Jawaharlal Nehru University - [JNU] | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Environmental Science)

I got selected in this college as well but i didn't choose to opt for it because of the curriculum, i needed a curriculum where I can study and apply my academic knowledge to practice which was lacking here.

Remarks:

I have enjoyed my Masters at this college. It was a good experience studying here. The faculty was humble skilled and polite that I have faced no major issue in any subject. The library was having enough books related to subjects and also outside the syllabus. Overall experience was quite good in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research.

Positive thing is that faculty and department is very good. Campus is so good and clean. More importantly, in delhi to get such a beautiful campus is totally a bliss. Negitive thing is that politics is included in every thing.

I appeared for an entrance exam which was organized by the institute themselves. The entrance exam was basic but I was nervous about the interview. My interview lasted for almost half an hour and then I was finally granted admission.

ISI life is definitely a colourful one. You will have your study pressure, but besides that it will offer you to live independently. You can participate in various sports and cultural activity. And I can surely tell you, no other institute offer such low investment in education with big returns, be it grabbing a handsome package in a big corporate or reputed university in USA or Europe.
