DTU is good for student life, tech opportunities and employment, could be better on teaching side though

Computer science is a growing field in modern world. Even nobel prizes are given to mostly computer scientist. Curriculumprepares us for industry through internships and relevant skills subjects like web development and machine learning. Teaching methods should be more demonstrative and practical based. Frequency and timing of the exams are very accommodating. One can learn a skill and still score a full marks in exam

Companies like Deloitte, Microsoft, TCS, Samsung, Mahindra, tata, Apple come for internship roles. Mostly software engineering role is provided . Major projects aoften involve web development and software engineering principles based. Machine learning roles are also there but they are not that many.

From 4th semester students become eligible for campus internships. From 3rd year hheh become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, Microsoft, Samsung, TCS, Apple come . Around 60 percent are placed. Highest recorded package was 84 LPA from a quantitative trading company. Average package is 24 LPA. My plans are getting a placement and preparing for Masters after graduation.

Year wise fees for computer science course is around 2.5 lacs. Overall fees for the 4 year course is 14 lacs if one consider hostel and messages also. Registration fees is same as jac. All the other charges were included in the course fees. No external fees was demanded. For other categories like sc st and OBC, fees was almost nothing. Scholarships are present, only one has to explore on dtu website.

Fest like ENGIFEST, TECHFEST, YUVAAN, AARAMBH happen across the year. Typically February, December, September and October are filled with fests. Many extracurricular activites are provided like cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, badminton, wrestling and many more . There are many student run clubs based on technology and student welfare. They help connecting students with industry professionals and professors.

I only applied to this college. My jee mains percentile was very good and so I was sure to get into this college. Also my relatives went to the same college before me so it was a legacy thing. Admission process is quite simple. You have to score a decent percentile in JEE MAINS. After that register to jac and if get selected in the merit list. Faculty to student ratio is good enough. Faculties are quite approachable. I liked our OOPS professor Diksha Ruhela ma'am. She is great with students and also very demonstrative in her teaching. I didn't like our Mathematics professor Jamkhongam touthang. He wasn't very attentive and missed alot classes. Exams are only mid sem and end sem. They are easy to score. Previous years are a good way to score them

Night life is quite amazing.OAT at night feels amazing. Gym is well lighted and gives a fight club like vibe. Hostel timings are till 8pm at night. There are many famous hangout spots in the college like OAT, MINI OAT, sports ground, and lake. It is very safe to roam around at night. Nightguards are always there to protect you. And area is well lit.
