Course Curriculum Overview

First year course is totally irrelevant except a few of the topics. I'm a CSE fresher why the hell are they making me study Distaster management, graphics and random physics chemistry topics. The course structure needs refurbishment according to latest industry requirement.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Campus Life

Clubs and societies are just a formality they don't function properly. Campus life is mid. There are less places to hangout in leisure time and sports facilities aren't properly maintained. More activities and meaningful events should be conducted

Admission

I took it cause it's close to my home and wasn't getting CSE in any other government college. Other than CSE all other branches in this college are shit. The average package of CSE is quite satisfactory (14 LPA)

Faculty

First year faculty isn't that good. They feel like PHD students or MCA/BCA students studying in the same institute. They lack experience and motivation. They force students to do boring labour works burdening them with assignments and lab files.

Night Life

Nightlife is zero. All cafeteria are closed and the camus becomes totally lifeless. The campus isn't properly illuminated with street lamps. Majority of the campus area is covered with forest and this it feels creepy to roam at night

Students become eligible for placements after coming in 7th semester which is the start of 4th year. Multiple companies from both tech and core field visit the campus. Ex: Samsung, Microsoft, phonepe, LNT, Bhel, TCS , Infosys, Tata motors, Reliance, Google , linkedin etc. The highest package in the campus is 65-LPA offered by linkedin. Average package is around 8-LPA and the median package is 6.5-LPA.

from 7th semester they become eligible for the campus placements. google , amazon , deloitte, college duniya and oracle , wipro o9 solution and many more companies visited to our campus . and total offer made was appox 700 . highest package was of 52 lpa and avg 6 lpa . total 95 percent of students got placement .

Life at NIT Agartala

Placement Experience:

NIT Agartala provides intership facilities from 3rd year onwards while the full fleged Placements commence from July onwards, which runs upto May the next year. The final year students are only eligible for placements. The Companies that visit includes Amazon,Google,Microsoft,Cisco,Nvidia,Airtel,Reliance,L&T,Wipro,Infosys,etc. The highest package was about 50Lacs from CRED while the average package stands at around 9lacs. Around 89% students who applied for placements got placed.

I choose this college because I wanted best branch possible at my rank. And at my rank I had the option to choose between Nit Surat Chemical engineering or Nit agartala Electronics and instrumentation engineering but i chose the latter because branch matters to me more than college. Although the college is not perfect and lacks in many departments but my department is not one of them. Placement rates in my branch are high with decent 8-10LPA packages.
