GL BAJAJ: Mathura

The course I am enrolled in is Bachelor of Technology i.e. BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The curriculum is totally based on the curriculum issued by AKTU . The syallabus is totally based on the AKTU curriculum hence a proper structured course is provided. The teaching methods used by the faculties basically include the whiteboard method apart from this the presentation methods and Labs for practical purposes are conducted. The course is well structured and is according to the need of time hence no improvements are suggested in it. The exams level is moderate i.e. not very tough but not very easy though.

The GL Bajaj is greatly known for its awesome placement offers , the college has a dedicated placement cell which works for the students and in the favour of the students. The most of the students of the college are placed at some decent packages . The 94% placement was recorded in the previous year and this year also the placement are great. The students also plan higher studies Masters e.t.c. Some students prepare for other exams as well. My plan is to take placement from the campus and continue to grow in carrier as a Software Engineer. The highest package offered was 34 LPA and minimum was 2.8 lpa. The companies which visited were Cognizant, TCS , Accenture, Salarybox , Convoult e.t.c. TCS basically offered the base package of 7-11 lpa .

I am on the Fee waiver category of the Counselling of UPTAC or AKTU so the tution fee is completely waived off . The students those who are not having any type of Scholarship pay the amount of 1 lakh 3 thousand (approx). Being a student of fee waiver category I was to pay only the extra fees, insurance fees and other sort of fees which were approx 16500. The tution fees of the college is 85500. The caution fees , dress fees , security amount, medical fees and training fees are extra included in the 16500 amount. If specifically referring to the amount of fees Medical Fees: 500 per year, Personality Development and Grooming Fees: 9500, Examination Fees: 7865 ,Lab Fees and Extra curricular fees are the rest . The management quota or the direct admission pays the extra fees and do not get any type of Scholarship of the government. There are only two categories hence the fees of the batchmates is almost the same excluding the scholarship ones. The scholarship is based on the PCM percentage for the direct admission students 1. PCM percentage greater than 80% - 25% waiver 2. PCM percentage greater than 85% - 50% waiver. 3. PCM percentage greater than 90% - 75% waiver. Similarly the Counselling students get admission on the basis of AKTU or UPTAC counseling, the scholarship are of UP Government and even Complete tution fee waiver seat is allotted if the JEE Mains score is (to a safe side) greater than 90 percentile. The UP Government scholarship is mainly category based i.e. students of all classes can fill the scholarship form in the college only. The scholarship amount is seperately paid to the bank account of the students and the form is forwarded from the college only. The other benifits are given to the students within the college which could be considered as a support from the side of college. The fees can be paid on the basis of term i.e. in quarters of not able to pay the whose fees. All over the fees structure of the college is quite decent.

The college is popular for the Fest conducted annually named TOONAV which is held in the month of February every year. The Freshers party is also organised in the college. The event like Celebrity Night, Diwali haat and Dandiya night are main eye Catchers. Along with this several competitions , hackathons are organised in the college for giving the students a complete flow of exploration. A vast library is available for the students to enhance this knowledge and keep themselves updated . Daily newspapers are provided there. The quality of books is quite decent and could be used for practice. The faculties use proper whiteboard method for teaching but the classes are provided with the projector facility to provide better interaction methods. The sports room is present in the college and a vast playground area is also there for the students to gain physical and mental health. There are several clubs running the college like Technical club, Environmental club , literary club e.t.c . The students are open to suggest the need of others too .

The main reason behind choosing GL BAJAJ Group of Institutions Mathura was that I was offered a fee waiver seat in the Counselling of AKTU. It was one of the best college of the complete Agra zone and the name of GL BAJAJ is also at a great level. The placement opportunities provided at GL BAJAJ are also great along with exposure provided to the students. The admission is through the AKTU counseling process and direct admission is also held in the college.

There a proper experienced faculty for the students to enhance the knowledge and gain the experience in each and every field they want the support of the students. There are seperate faculties for each and every subject. The class is of 60 students and each and every student is assigned a mentor whom the students could approach in case of facing any type of difficulty. There is no such factors of not liking any faculty in the students, each and every faculty is given proper respect by the students. The faculties who are most liked are the ones who are friendly with the students which is the basic human nature so in such cases some faculties are specially liked by the students. There are 3 exams and one external exam which is also called as University exam. The 2 Sessional exams are conducted along with one Pre University Test before the final exam.

The gym facilities are available within the campus for the hostel students. Both in the evening and morning the gym is open. The hostel are closed after 10 pm in the night and as the college is located at the outskirts of the college hence due to the security reasons the students are not allowed to move out after 8 pm without proper consent and students are also advised to return before 9.30 pm . The cafeteria is present in the college with delicious food and good facilities. The hangout places could be the temples of the town mainly in Vrindavan. The students like to play badminton in the night .
