A tale of a 3rd year student in CET COLLEGE ( now OUTR)

The course curriculum is firmly based on Electrical Engineering core fundamentals which helps to build the concept of Electrical Machines and Devices, power electronics devices along with transmission lines and control system. Real world application will be based on most of the theories we are learning now. Exams are taken in each semester and in between each semester there is a mid semester

From 7th semester students are eligible to sit in campus placements. Asian paints:5 MSIL: 12 Cognizant: 9 TCS: 57 L&T: 11 JK copier: 4 And many more. Highest package: 17 LPA Cognizant Average package: 5.6 LPA 70-80% students are well placed After getting degree I will prepare for GATE entrance in Electrical Engineering and will persue higher studies.

Tution fees+registration fees: 16200 Hostel living fees: 5330. Hostel mees fees: 14000 For TFW (tution fees waiver) scheme: only registration fees is charged. There is reservation in seats for SC/ST category but college fees are same for every student irrespective of their category. Only 10% seats are reserved for financially Backward classes that comes under TUTION FEES WAIVER scheme where they only pay the semester registration fees.

Annual: X-TASY is the annual event where popular singers and figures come from all over the India Technical fest: Zarzuela is a technical fest which focuses on technical aspects. Students can play badminton and basketball in respective courts and cricket in grounds

Rooms are having 2(APJ boys hostel) or 3(RHR boys hostel) beds per room with 1 ceiling fan and 1 tubelight. Meal menu is versatile with good quality tasty food in hostel. During admission, students far from college should apply for accomodation.

I have applied for and got confirmation from IIIT BHUBANESWAR, in ETC branch. But as I was not financially strong to afford 14-16 lakhs for B.Tech. So to ease my family's financial burden and getting q chance to enter into a top government engineering college in Odisha, I preferred CET over IIIT BHUBANESWAR. Yes ofcourse. I got rejection from many IITs and NITs. I couldn't get those because my All India Rank in JEE-2022 was 1,10,070 which was not good enough to get into NITs and IITs. Admission process is generally 1 day process which includes a document verification and registration of student. Documents required like: JEE-main rank card, 10th and 12th certificates, Residence and Income certificate etc. Eligibility: Anyone who has given the JEE-MAIN entrance (range of AIR upto 3,00,000) Cut-off of Electrical Engineering: AIR 80,000-1,60,000

Overall faculty to student ratio is almost 1:10. Some teachers are very friendly and have a high skill of communication and understanding of how to deliver a lecture efficiently. Mr. Anjan Kumar Sahoo of Department of Electrical Engineering now known as School of electrical science. one of the best faculty member I have came across till now in my life. His guidance and perseverance for us and dedication towards students is extraordinarily appreciable.

Late night outings are strictly prohibited here. After 10pm gates of boys hostel are closed. There are gyms inside boys hostels and also outside campus. In time of Boys' hostel: 10pm Girls' hostel: 7pm
