Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is specifically designed keeping in mind about the challenges an individual can face once graduated from the college. Industry based focus is given and good coverage of entrance examinations are also taken care of. Teaching methods are good, but more industrial visits can be carried out. The semester happens for 4-5 months and not 6 months hence every 2 months exams happens.

The campus life in christ is one thing to boast about as it is so vibrant that everyday some event of any of the departments happen. The campus life is very good with various clubs and societies are created to ensure student cultural engagement. Sports and extracurricular activities are also funded properly as there are good maintained courts for basketball.

Admission

Applied for St. Joseph's College as well and got admission there too but always felt that Christ has a better environment for growth. Admission process here in Christ is good with a personal interview scheduled with the faculty of the department you have applied for. Admission process Is very smooth and there are people to guide in college for the processes.

Faculty

4

The faculties are very good in Christ University. They are highly qualified and is very approachable for students. They also provide mentoring for students to help out students at every phase of their life. There are mid semester and end semester exams that are conducted as written examination along with CIAs that are assignment based. The exams are concept based and are of good level questions. Lot of students do fail to clear the examination if studies not taken seriously.

Interview Experience

4

There was an interview scheduled for the students who have applied for the courses. The interview is taken by the faculties of the department itself where they ask you questions related to the course you have chosen. They also ask you what you expect from Christ and why we have chosen this university. Just be you and go there with a strong basics about your subject will easily help you ace the interview as the process is very comfortable.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
