Being an commerce student from the very starting of my high school I always aspired to be a part of finance field as this will help my dream to be a cfa of a divine company come true... Bcom finance as a course provides me with the basic knowledge about the financial market and market structure mainly the stock market system which will help me in building knowledge about the various financial structures within India and outside India. As we are been provided with experienced teachers I don't think I facing any such demerits till now in btw my studies. As I have already mentioned the college based exam are not that highly difficult as compared with our school based exams and are properly structured according to our semesters

Fees and Financial Aid

As a bcom finance student at Swami Vivekananda College you required to pay upto 45k on a yearly basis which comprises of alltye amenities such tution fee computor lab fee admission fee Development infrastructure fee etc etc... The overall compulsion of the fee structure of all the subjects are listed below: Bcom finance Year1- 45506 Year2 -46616 Year3- 49866 Bcom e commerce Year1-45506 Year2-46616 Year3-49866 Bcom general Year1-8716 Year2-7831 Year3-9081 There are several other courses offered by our college to students in the field of commerce such as bba( bachelor of business administration), BMS ( bachelor of management studies),Bbi ( bachelor of banking and insurance),bfm (bachelor in financial marketing) and also several courses in the field of science arts as well as law There are various types of scholarship facilities given to those whose family income is less and are belonging to sc st castes the schedule caste and the schedule tribes. Also there are cuttoffs which might vary accordingly to students yearly percentages On an average the minimum cuttoffs are 50-60% in their board papers or can go upto 80 to 90% for the actual cutoffs

Our college also celebrates days such as bollywood day mismatch day rose day which brings out more entertainment among students Their are various committees such as nss And other which helps in managing of different functions taking place at our college swami vivekanand also offers u with so many sporting events such as related to cricket, football, athletics, badminton, and also indoor sport events table tennis carrom board chess

Admission

I have applied in certain other colleges such as narsee monjee,Mithibai but the course fees they were asking was 2x more than what I was getting in other colleges also the environment of such private institutions were much wide than that of my current college that's why my parents gone ignorant while the form submition of those colleges. Overall my family was searching for more of decent based college with more influence towards studies and better placement opportunities which I got it all at Swami Vivekananda chembur The admission process of my college is with a minimum cutoff of 50% in their board papers cbse icse state the minimum criteria for students who are taking general or plain courses other students who are applying for bms bba might have a chance to give mhcet which is a state based exam given to match the eligibility criteria for the same

Their is a balance between the faculty and the student ratio by providing of equal amount of teachers for the students present in each department The faculty their is very familiar and easy to interact with. You can anytime approach a teacher in case of any difficulty faced. One more thing which I appreciate about this college is that they have built WDC members who look after the needs of the victims who are facing difficulties from opposite genders or any ragging taking place. Being an 1st year student I must say the most preferred faculty for me would be my own faculty teachers as they are easy to coordinate. Looking after the exams every year we are having 2 semesters with 2 internals With marks varying according to their role if they are major or minor As they are college level exams the difficulty level of the same is not as much as the school based one overall they are average in difficulty Still the students could fail in these exams inturn facing kts which they can give at the end of their yearly semesters

Night Life

Our college doesn't provides with any hostel facilities as such now... But might think of providing it later Our college is having its own air conditioned library and auditorium with a facility of canteen and different rooms for every other activity We also have a shart garden area where students can walk around and can use that place as their hangout spots

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
