Course Curriculum Overview
The department of philosophy has a great faculty. The teachers are really experienced. The course curriculum is average. It doesn't have any real world applications. Compared to others the teaching method should also need improve. Exams are conducted every semester along with internal exams. Internal exams are out of 20 and semester exams are out of 80. The difficulty level is average.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure yearly is tution fee 100, special fee 1200, Caution deposit 360, examination fee 300 to 800 per semester so total yearly fee is 2500 to 3500 per year. It can vary accordingly to the scholarships you have. Exam fee and other fee decreases to 35 if you have any scholarships. There are lots of scholarships such as e grantz, central sector, post matric scholarships etc.
Campus Life
The main festival held in campus is arts festival. It is considered the biggest festival of college. For students with a lot of talents it is a really big stage to show off their talents as the college really encourages this. College also has a lot of clubs such as tourism club fashion club etc. There are also NCC and NSS active. Sports team is also really good. There are student run political groups active on college too. The new library is really big and they are trying bring in a lot of books. Library has study area too.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is really good. It is very clean. Each room consists of four students. Each one gets a bed and a table and a shelf. The bathroom is common. Food menu is average. It is adjustable. But good quality. Students are eligible for hostel admission based on the distance from their home.
Admission
This college was my first option and i really wanted to come to this college. This is really great college with a lot of history. This college is situated in the middle of city so everything is easily accessible from here. It encourages cultural activities too. There is no entrance test. Admissions are solely based on the 12th grade marks. Admission procedure is simple. We only need to apply for it through the website. Students with minimum 70 percent marks in the 12 th grade are accepted.
Faculty
Faulty is great. They really experienced teachers. Exams are conducted each semester with ineternal exams too. Internal exams are conducted out of 20 and semester exams are conducted out of 80 for subjects without practical exam and 60 for subjects with practical exams. Exams are comparatively average difficulty level. Almost 30 percentage of students fail to clear all the subjects.
Night Life
As the college is in the middle of the city there is a great night life. Programs are often held at night too. College is accessible to stude until 6 pm. Hostels close at 9 30 pm and everyone is wanted to get in the hostel as per the rules. The locality is not that safe at night if you are new to the city. Otherwise the night life is really great
