What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure at cbit is best, I don't say it's soo modernized because it's not but the very vast campus full of trees is so spacious and peaceful.
- Placements are pretty good compared to the recision outside
- The chance to explore different fields like we get to interact more as part of extra curicullar activities like clubs, fests, hackathons. In hyderabad i would say this is the best place for all of these.
Dislikes
- Like i said few faculty are good but not everyone, no much support from management when required
Course Curriculum Overview
The ciricullam well suits for current Generation and even it gets updated periodically, so it's all good. Teaching methods needs little improvement but I would say the best you can get in hyderabad. And also there are faculty who are really good and engaging while they teach.
Internships Opportunities
There are many on campus summer internship oppurtunities offered in 3rd year, I got an internship as software development engineer at providence, india for 2 months and many got internships at jpmc, saleaforce, servicenow, paypal, barclays Amazon, Microsoft, etc by many I mean 100 students from students of it, cse, aiml, aids and all.
Placement Experience
For placements, cbit is one of the top colleges . I myself got placed for 11.5LPA at Providence. And 60% of my class got placed , I would not say everyone got placed for more packages but 50% of them got placed for 5lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee of CBIT is around 1,60,000 Rs. I belog to ews category and got 2633 Rank in eamcet and hence because my rank is below 10k and I'm holding ews, I have got free seat in cbit, and other casts like BC, SC, ST can also get a free seat if they score below 10k rank in Eamcet and get a seat through eamcet councelling at cbit. And those who get above 10k and get a seat in cbit through eamcet, for them TS board will pay 35000 and remaining the student has to pay. Apart from this there is semester fee of 5500 and sem fee if 2200.
Campus Life
Club involvement - I have grown up from member to deputy secretary to vice president in the club EWB-CBIT and I must say it has many memories for me and how much I have learnt from the club really did benifit me. Sports - Aura cbit is an annual inter college fest hosted at CBIT and Shruthi - annual feat of cbit also has sports for students of cbit. All this makes perfect balence for a student between their personal and educational life.
Hostel Facilities
For cbit - there is a boys college hostel but for girs there is no hostel provided by college. But no btech student stays in college hostel after their 1st year, so anyways it's fine not to have a college hostel for girls because there are plenty PGs around and 90% of them are college students from cbit and mgit, I stay in a pg, it's all good.
Admission
I applied to CBIt through EAMCET, and the same way I have opted few other colleges also like vnr, vasavi but my first priority was cbit and I got in, but the thing is I wanted CSE at CBIT but due to my rank that is 2633 I hot IT, and one thing I suggest is go for councilling until last round, because there is a high chance that you will get a better college. Admission process for me was through Eacmcet councilling and from there it was all smooth and people can also come to cbit through JEE mains, percentile required would be around 91 for cse Or IT related branches. Also few come with donations that's a different case though.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio would be 3:10 And faculty are pretty well approachable , I would say with most of them you are welcomable but very few are arrogant and behave carelessly. To name the best faculty, I would say 60% are good , only few are not good situationally.
Night Life
Earlier there were no much availabilities around college, but now it's all developed and good. The college is in Gandipet area, kokapet is just beside it and there are all required facilities available and nights - for students it's a good place to chill out with friends, and if they need anything - it's all right there.
