PIET College Review

The course emphasized industry-revelent skills like data analysis, Artificial Intelligence and programming which influenced my decision. The project in the final year was an excellent opportunity to apply theoritical concepts to solve practical problems. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. There is extra seminars by industry experts While the lectures were informative, more workshops and more industrial visits would have been helpful in improvement. There is 2 major exams along with semester exams and many assessments in every months. Their difficulty level is not high.

The college has a dedicated placement cell that assists students in securing interships through tie-ups with reputed companies. The different companies offering internships. Some are TCS: Software Development Intern ( Rs 10000/months) Maruti Suzuki : Mechanical Engineering Intern ( Rs. 12000/Months) Lalinx Technologies : Software development intern ( Rs. 8000/months) Projects At Lalinx Technologies, students worked on developing a web application for internal process management. A team of interns at Maruti designed prototype that reduce assembly line defects by 10 %.

The placement of this college is good. The highest placement is of 38 lakhs offered by Google. There are 5000+ placements offers by different companies (including Google) . Above 20 lakhs placement offers given by 5+ companies. 15LPA package offered by 10+ companies. 10 LPA package offered by 20+ companies. 4-5 LPA package offered by 50+ companies. The students of 3rd years will become eligible for applying campus placements . The percentage of students will be above 7 CGPA for getting a good palcement offer. If any students donot get any campus placements, they can also apply through off campus in their and dream companies and can get jobs. They can also start thier startups . The supports is given by college after the completion of course.

Yearly fees of this college is 1 lakh 39 thousands (139000) which will be constant for next 4 years. It will be paid in two parts- Rs. 75000 in odd semester (in April) and Rs. 64000 rupees in even semester (in November ). The toal fees in 4 years will be Rs. 556000. There will be not any extra charges for examination fees or something. All fees are included in this. There will be also scholarships for students who score more than 85% marks in 12th Class ( approx 15 to 20 % discount according to marks ) and for who score good percentile in JEE mains . There are also scholarships for SC/STs students by the haryana government. There is a my batchmate who belongs to SC category and he is from Haryana state and his fees is only Rs. 25000 per year and rest fees will be given by haryana government as a scholarship.

;oThe overall experience with campus life is good. There are many cultural fests, many technical events occur during the entire years. The 2 main events are Carbuncle and Maestros. The Carbuncle is held in the September months ( which is also called the Freshers party) and the entry fees to this cultural events is Rs. 500. The second Maestros will held in March month which the charge of Rs. 600. There is a large, modern library in this college with more than 62000 + books and 142 printed natinal and international Journels and subscribed 22 Magazines. The different sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball facilities are provided with the knowledgeable coaches. Many students runs different social groups, many club members which organizes differents events in college .

I have applied for IITs and NITs , but unfortunately I am not selected . So, I took admission in this college with the guidance of my counsellor who advised me to take admission in this college. This is the only Institute in Haryana to establish AICTE Idea LAB. In this college , the environent is good. It is awarded as the cleanest college. The infrastructure is also good. The highest placement of this college is 56 lakhs. This is only institute in Haryana to become Autonomous. Ther are also some of my friends who studied in this college and suggest me this college. So, I took aadmission in this college.

The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20 . The faculty of this college is very supportive, doubt -solving. They are very approachable. We can ask our doubt anytime to them even it is not the lecture time. They also give us guidence to our personal life or any problems. All the faculties are very good. I like all the teachers. The course (B.Tech in Cimputer Science and Engineering) is of 4 years and divided in 8 semesters. Each semesters has aprrox 5-6 theory subjects and 2 -3 practical labs. In each semester, there will be 3 Internal exams (which is called as Sessionals) before the Semester exam . The best 2 Sessionals are evaluated for the internal marks in Final semester exams. The final semester exam runs for approx 1 months in gap of 3-4 days in each subjects, and there will be external viva of the practical labs. The marking schemes of the paper is good. The 60 to 80 % students have all clear results. Some students have re in some papers. My SGPA is 8.46. The difficulty level of exam is moderate.

There is a gym in college which charge 6000 rupees per semester for the access, A central library with 62000+ books, and parks ( one named as Open Air Theatre) . Boys students can hangout in nights in sports complex ground, canteen, open air theatre. But, the girls are not allowed to roam in night after 8 PM. The famous places inside college are Old canteen, NesCafe, OAT, Cafeteria. The locality is also safe to roam around in night .
