Perfect College for Diploma Course

I applied for around 100 colleges this college was o 45th on list. I wasn't happy but I had to no other option. I wanted F.R. conceio rodrigues or Datta meghe college but it had higher cutoff. I chose that college because they claimed they were the best on their website and they showed their alumnis but they didnt tell us that the alumnis were already scholars. I got selected in Thakur college for EXTC but the crowd there was poor. I got VJTI too but again it was for EXTC and i didn't feel any scope there. When I applied for colleges I was allotted New Horizon Institute of Technology and Management based on my mhtcet score I choose this college as it has better infrastructure and teaching standards compared to other colleges and it is also conveniently close to my home. I couldn't secure admission in other colleges because my mht CET score was not high enough to meet their cutoffs. New Horizon institute of technology and management comes under Mumbai University, so the admission process was through dte and exams, academic year calender was by the Mumbai university itself. Overall my experience in college was average. The college is situated in the middle of Thane and Borivali which makes traveling difficult and rough due to heavy traffic. The infrastructure is vast. Faculty members and other staff are very cooperative. The college timings are 9-5 pm and students are not allowed to leave the campus before 5 pm unless and until any appropriate reason to leave the campus, for this student, need a gate pass which is signed by respective student class teacher, head of department and Principal's stamp.only if the student has the above he/she are allowed to leave. Practicals are not conducted properly. The teaching faculties are well experienced. A separate Placement cell is been organized, but for civil, only 2-3 students got placement out of 60....Read More
