Course Curriculum Overview

4

On regards of curriculam it is inline with the other top colleges of the country but it seems sometimes lagging with respective to the market demands as it is more towards the theoretical type but it is not a problem of only DTU whereas it is followed by other top colleges too. We have to persue and learn from outside the course to get inline with the current market demands, Improvements in the curriculam which I would like to suggest that is the course should be more practical and rather then teaching the conventional learnings modern technology should be inclined in the same.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are so much internship offers provided by the college and also DTU provides USIP internship whcih is a paid internship inside the college itself. There are numerous amount of compamies which come to the college for the internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

5

We are eligible to sit in the placements in the 7th semester and there are immense opportunities and almost all the big name companies visit here nfor the placements. Companies which visited DTU were Collegedunia, Bain, McKinsey, Tata Steel, Everest group, ZS associates, Honda, Google, Microsoft, Accenture, and all the other big names.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year the tution fees will be 1,47,300 which will be increasing each year as 1,55,000 then 1,63,000 and in last year it will be 1,77,000. Now other then tution fee the fees have other components too add up which are :- 1) Student welfare fee : which will be as 20,000 then 20,000 then 22,000 and in last year it will be 25,500. 2) Facilities and services charges : Which will be as 36,000 each year till 3rd year and in 4th year it will be 38,500. 3) EWS fund : 10,000 for all four years. 4) Examination fee : 15,000 each year 5) DTU medical facilities and premium amount : Which is 700 Rs each year. Now all these components add up to total fees as : 2,29,000 for first year then 2,36,700 then 2,46,700 and in the last year of Btech it will be 2,66,700. And DTU also provides scholarships and financial assistance to the people belonging to the lower income group and for that they have to fill a form to apply and later an interview with students and parents in conducted and final decision is taken after that.

Campus Life

5

There are numerous numbers of annual and tech fests organised in the college by different societies which give so much of experience to the folks. OATs is provided by the college to organise the events and also there are different tech teams and societies.

Admission

DTU was one of the best college I applied for. I applied for colleges through REAP I got offer to take admission in MBM, Jodhpur, Engineering college Ajmer and taking distance from home and the brand name into consideration I chose DTU over other these colleges.

Faculty

5

In terms of faculties, DTU stands out very well in the que. Almost all the faculties are very easy to approach as they are allocated Faculty rooms in the respective departments only on the top floors so we can easily approach them for any doubts or any other query. Some of the faculties are strict but also they helps a lot if approached correctly in a good manner. One faculty I want to state here is Dr. Richa Shrivastava ma'am from chemistry / Chemical department. She taught me chemistry in the first year, She was so generous and helpful that you can approach her anytime even after college hours for any help or query wheather from academics or any personal problems. There are generally 2 types of exams during the semester which are end sem exams and mid sem exams. The difficulty level of the exams is towards moderate side.

Night Life

5

There is not as much night life sa it is located in a remote area of delhi with not much connectivity to the shopping complexes and other fancy restaurants but inside college people can hang out and also there are near by cafes to get chill.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

My seniors got placed in the 7th semester and a few in the 6th as well. As per them, the placements are the best compared to all other IPU Colleges. Offers from abroad are too given here. For Computer Related Branch, placements are to 90%. Highest Package has surpassed 1 Cr, and Avg. package is about 8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.
