Course Curriculum Overview

The one of the main reasons for me to choose this course is that it has a very few students. Unlike other courses which has over 3 lack students from each state, this course has only is 16. This is because, in my state it, this is the only college this course is available. The other colleges that has this course are NIT and IIT.

There are many more internship opportunities this college is offering to the immaculate students l. And as a first year I'm lack information about this. But I heard it has great stuff to do the same thing from the question is this

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a btech first year. I'm getting to know about this course through my HOD. He told all the information about this course l. It has a very high job opportunities mainly outside India. It works with the study of metals and it's application from its original ore to its practical uses

Campus Life

Overall I will give this college a 9/10 becouse this beautiful campus and fun cultural programs and many more fun activities. Even the faculty members are super nice towards the students and hostel is amazing with great staffs there and and an amazing group of friends

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faculty are super nice with really great food and other stuff and I'm not so sure about rent and accommodation but it has everything we wanted including wifi l, hot water and many more and is verry amazing

Hostel Fee: INR 28000 per year

Admission

One of the main reasons for choosing this college is due to this course. In Kerala, this is the only college where this course is available. And this college has a tie up with big universities such as James Cook University Australia. Where I can study for my master's or even my bachelor after 2 years studying here

Faculty

My course has 8 semester. In which each semester has 2 series exam and 1 sem exam and a sem break after each sem. The exams are not too simple nor too difficult l. Something that can be manageable by us. Each series exam is out 50 which will later converted to 12.5.

Night Life

Nightlife are usually great but it as a hosteler I'm not supposed to leave the building after 7.30. but in Friday's we are having free night were we have DJ party at the college and we can hang around till 11pm

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
