Likes

the campus is well equipped such as libraries, workshop, the classrooms is clean but in the class they have so many insects.
Some teachers are approachable and experienced providing good mentorship
The placement cell is moderately effective with opportunites in technical roles

Dislikes

The boys to girls ratio is skewed with a significantly higher number of male students.
Although placement servies exist, hihgh paying adn core engineering roles are less frequent leading to concerns among students regarding career

The curriculum provides a solid foundation in enginerring but need mordernization to remain competitve in today's rapidly evolving tech landscape. A greater focus on emerging trends, industry partnership and dynamic teaching methods would significantly enhance its relevance and comprehensiveness.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our course is designed to accommodate varying fincancial situation, ensuring accessibility for students from different backgrounds. The yearly fee for me is 80,000 which is divided into two equal semester wise payment of 40,000 each. odd semester pay at Nov month and even semester pay at April/May . They also provide loan for student, installment based payment system helps in managing the financial burden effectively.

Campus Life

MCET offers a balance campus life, blending academics with cultural, technical, and social activites. While the infrastructure meets basic standards a push towad modernization and more diverse extracurricular opportunites would significantly enhance the overall experience

Admission

Admission process is so easy to can get direct admission in this college. you just need to go MERI janakpuri campus or MERI college of engineering and technology for admission. and also go with your orignal document for verificaiton.

Faculty

The ratio of faculty to student is farily balanced allowing for personalized attention. faculty members generlly don't have good subject expertise. The curriculum is aligned with standard engineering principles but could improve its relevace to emerging technologies like AI, Machine learning and blackchain. There are two exam: sessional 25 marks and final exam 75 marks . if you want to clear the exam you just need 30 mark from 75 marks (in final year).if you study by own you can clear the exam because the faculty nerver complete the syllabus.

Interview Experience

Admission at meri cet are based on JEE main scores, with minimum of 75% in 10+2 for eligibility. NO group discussion or interviews are typically conducted for B.Tech. Counseling for seat allocation is mandatroy.

Night Life

they provide you gym in college but you can't go there. and the cafeteria is look average but i don't like to eat there food i heard about it the food is not tasty also. Library is clean and good you will get so many books in good conditon. the campus timing is 9AM to 5PM. you can't go outside of college.

GTBIT is a good tier 3 Btech college in Delhi

Likes

College societies are very active, there are events, hackathons, workshops and jamming sessions every week
Faculty is very supportive and guides on career, internships and courses
College location and connectivity is good, it takes 5-8mins by auto/erickshaw to reach the nearest metro station, also buses run

Dislikes

College Infrastructure is quite old, they are rebuilding the washrooms so its better than before
Placement and internship are decent, need more support and guidance
College crowd is mostly uninterested in career and participating in hackathons or career building events

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. Top Recruiters are Infosys, ZS Associated, Swiggy, JustPAY and there were about 250 offers in 2025 Highest package was 63LPA off-campus, 27LPA on campus and Average package is about 6-7LPA, most profiles are software developer About 60-80% of the eligible students got placed last year I would like to work as a software engineer for 2-3 year and then do MBA alongside job and then apply for management roles.

first of all i would say the infrastucture of the our collge is too good and even the best when we comapre it to other colleges in our university
second is its labs and advance tech lab for a btech student in vlsi domain we have a vlsi lab which have all the equiped tolls tahtare required for a good placemnt and same for other branches as well also in our campus there is super computer
third is the secuity the security of the campus is very good we got riif id card all gates are only when when the correct id card are shown out there and also thereare ample amoun tof

Dislikes

dislike is to be honest one thing i dislike is most is the ptm that after each mid sem there is ptm of the due to low attedence and even student got detained due to it
second is the campus area is too much smaller comapring other colleges
third is the canteen the food in the canteen is not soo good and there is no much option avaiable out there

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

The professors in my college are very supportive

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Canteens are the best in this college and food is hygienic
College infrastructure is good and maintained
Connectivity to this college is good just beside the college gate metro is there

Dislikes

Small campus size around 7 acres and large crowd
Library is really small ,there is not much space in library
Strict rules and regulations like you can't play untill 4 pm in the college ground

Placement Experience:

From the end of third semester students are eligible for placement. Tcs, accenture, Deloitte,amazon, samsung etc. Highest package is 42 lakh offered by Amazon. Eighty to ninety percent student get placed . I want to work in faang companies right now .

Fully solar energy used for electricity in Hostel and campus
Wi-Fi is working properly and fast all over the area.
Hostel and hostel mess are neat, well managed and hygienic

Sports facilities are not too well in this campus
There is zero spot of E- vehicle charging.

This course is newly introduced by seeing the upgradation of the industry by involving AI & ML in that work, this campus and course doing great work. There should be improvement in lab classes only and Exam are done easy to moderate level.

Reality of VIPS

Likes

Infrastructure and built of the college is very neat, clean and hygenic
Automated air conditioning in all rooms in the college
The labs are very nice and spacious with AC

Dislikes

Faculty is not nice with the students as they does’nt give the internal marks for medical issues
The teachers judge you based upon your attendance
Placement scenario is not known so can’t say about it but still on my personal opinion there won’t be anything more which everybody is expecting

Placement Experience:

As no batch has been passed out from our college, the first batch of BTech placements will be out by 2025 So then we will know about the placement scenarios and on campus and internships, but for a B plan, one should always Acquire for the trending skills in the society, my plans after getting the degree is either I go for the post graduate or I apply to off campus in abroad.

Although the college is only 6 acres but it is well maintained
You can find various benefits in the college by joining different clubs
Faculties are passed from prestigious universities like IIT, IIM, MIT etc

Dislikes

College is not big so you can't explore In the college
There are no air conditioners in classrooms so It feels really hot in summers

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college. Like I told earlier also that I have interest in electronics, so I want to do something in that field. If I want then I will give GATE exam after 4 years of my college so that I can get a chance to do MTECH in vlsi.

The course load is too much and it sometimes becomes too hectic
The hectic schedule doesn't allow some students to follow their hobbies
The course is too much theory based and doesn't allow self learning of the students

The campus placement is excellent. With the average package being 1500000. Many companies like, BCG, McKinsey, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Credit Suisse come for placement. Almost all the students get placed. I plan to go for higher studies after the degree

I selected this college cause it's too near to my place andanother biggest resaon is attendace. There are not so much restriction on the short attandance in this college. So we could focus more on our career related cousres and self study. As some college give a real world or practical tech enviroment to the students by organising tech events like hakathons and all , our college don't. and this something which could be better. Admission process was easy and basic like we just have to take our document fill the registration formand they will tell us the fee sturcture and may ask for a campus tour also. I filled JEE Mains exam registeration but my form got cancelled i don't know why. A gateway to fly high

Good learning environment all around. Labs are crucial in the engineering curriculum and this college has well-equipped labs with well informed and knowledgeable lab attendants. This college also provides a gym, cafeteria, playground, a huge auditorium, and playing grounds. The admission process includes both a direct basis and an entrance exam based too. The direct admission is given based on your 12th marks and your performance in JEE Mains. The Institute also has its own entrance test sometimes. The admission starts In July to August every year.
