Course Curriculum Overview

I always intrigued with how the constitution works and how we as people are the ones that make it so before I stepped into college I already knew I was gonna do this because that it was I liked and was untested in, so when I was coming to college I was already comfortable and having great professors made it even easier for me to do well and understand better .

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi, I am Tenzing Changchub,a third year student in Bhawanipur Education Society located in Kolkata and I'm pursuing my bachelor's in Political Science. The fee structure is quite similar like the other colleges by that I mean semester wise I pay about a 30000 Rupees per semester, I have always believed in myself and I don't take extra tutions but in college itself the after class tutions and extra classes cost around 2,500 Rupees that too came under then semester fees itself.

Campus Life

5

I wasn't much into that many activities but I did attend the freshers party and then cultural event that is hosted every year before the puja holidays and there are few dance events that I have participated in college and few faculty events such as helping an NGO , and serving the homeless programs made by the students of the faculty itself .

Admission

I had few options such as St Xavier or Presidency or Mitt University but I chose this college because first my peers and seniors were already in the college and it would have been easy for me adjust to the new environment as they were there to help me and guide me through the process of going into college from school.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is a lot better than most of the colleges because in my faculty for every group of 60 students we have a professor who is our direct incharge and guides us towards success. So that being said the ratio is 1:60 which is good . There also other faculties that great too such as the commerce and science faculty or even the English faculty . I have always been a keep to myself kind of boy so I didn't have problems with any faculty members. There is one exam for single subject and total of four exams per semester. In my faculty only around ten percent fail

Night Life

5

I stayed outside with my aunt so u pretty much didn't hang around the college too much during the night as I live very far nearly upto sixty kilometers away and I had to travel for always one and a half-hour back and forth every single day .

Placement Experience:

Our college don't provide a big placements like other colleges, but instead they offer internships and workshops. Very few, high quality students get one or two job opportunities. But overall they prepare us for future, and help us to get good experience to get a job after completing the degree or studying next for masters or other fields. I'm planning to complete master in Film studies after completing my graduation degree, from Bishwabharati.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that i choosed was good, but i felt that it was not the university that was meant for this course. The teavhing standards was good but we were not given any practical study of this course which somewhat gives a backward in this point. We were also not given whole idea and deep study of specific subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course turned out to be very interesting and as a student who is interested in practical activities, it has helped me to explore parts of me that I was unaware of earlier. Due to my interest in writing this course was extremely helpful for me and it gave me a chance to figure out and sharpen my skills. The college consists of about 600 students and 40-50 faculty members. Mass Communication particularly had 4 faculty members and 15 students in one semester. The faculty members have all completed their respective masters and almost all are pursuing either Ph.D. or higher education. The exams were held twice every 6 months, one from the college- internal examinations and the other one by the university- board examinations. It was from the syllabus itself so it was not as difficult however the university exams did take it a step ahead and made it difficult for the students at times.

Remarks:

Every college has its own good and bad side. And asutosh is my college I don't think I will give much negative remarks about my own college. But I think they should be more attentive towards practical works and internship because now-a-days field experience and certificate matters the most.
