AJCE review 2024

I think the course curriculum is ok for now but there are certain irrelevant subjects that are added in our course like basics of civil and mechanical.As an it student I find it very irrelevant and unnecessary.There is also physics and chemistry which also not very necessary for us.So avoiding it we can do more industrial training and visits.I think the exams timings are ok now but there is no sem break given I think during my 4years there was only 1 sem break which was about 1 month but that was given in the middle of the semester.

The students are eligible to attend the placement drives once they are at the seventh semester.There are a lot of companies coming here.I think the average package offered is around 10lakhs per annum and my senior got placed with a job which offered him 55 lpa.The more opportunities are for the it industries but there are also opportunities for other branches.

The complete fees for the course is around 4lakhs and we have to pay Around 90000 a year.But there is a semester wise division where in odd semester we have to pay about 50k and the rest in even semester.There are only a few scholarship opportunities provided by the college that is for the students who get more 8.5 sgpa get a fee reduction or I think there is a complete cut in the fees.But there are national scholarships made available for us like merit cum means which gives about 25000 for the selected students.

There is an annual event which is conducted every year which is called azure which is the main event which is of 3 - 5 days and is so nice.There are technical and cultural events conducted during that time and it is usually during the month of May. All of the classrooms are with projectors for displaying the contents of the sessions taken by the teachers and there is a big library in our college which offers a lot of Books for us.And there are department libraries for each department. The sports and other extra curricular activities are wonderful in the college

I choose this college because this was the best engineering college near me and also the fact that it run by kanjirapally diosis made my father approve.At the time of admission we thought that if I go somewhere else the hostel fees could very high and my family could not afford that.I did not apply for any other college as my main focus was this college because I have heard from my seniors that there a lot of placement opportunities and spaces provided for conveying ideas.

I think there are around 500-600 faculties in the college and about 4500 students maybe even more. I cannot say the specific names of teachers who have and continue to help and guide me. I like all my teachers and I respect them There is a total of 3 main exams in a semester,where two of them are internal exams of 50marks and at the semester end there is a university exam of 100 marks and the total is of 150 marks where we have to get 75 to pass and there is a minimum 40 marks for the University exam

There is a gym in our college where students can use it after class.There is only a negligible fee for it.There is a new one already in construction.There is large library in our college providing all kinds of books and papers.There is also a canteen which offers good quality food.A new cafteria was open with a new spot for couples to slent their time. And as I am a day scholar I don't know about hostel timings.
