Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since I am from the previous batch that is under KTU 2019 scheme (not autonomous) our syllabus was not very good especially considering the first 2 years. Lot of unwanted things are there which you may not need in your lifetime. The new syllabus seems to be great, Most subjects are based on your department itself.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are many companies working in the TBI (area for startups or companies by students) they offer internships to work for them. This is unavailable in most colleges. Most students do internships in infoparks or other areas but incampus internships are also good

Placement Experience

4

From the seventh semester you are eligible for campus placements. In the end of sixth semester you will be given trainging for aptitude, technical, and other professional etiquttes to be followed in a placement. Some of our top recruiters are SOTI, Safran, UST, Cognizant. There are many other companies also coming.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly the fees I have paid is around Rs 90,000 This would have increased now since the college has changed to autonomous status If you are in the top 3 of your class CGPA wise you will be in a scholarship scheme automatically and tution fees is free. There are many other scholarships for SC/ST, and other minorites

Campus Life

5

The annual celebration of our college is Azure its a great event with Tech Fest as well as a cultural fest. There will be different activities happening and the whole vibe of the college is different. We celebrate Onam, Christmas, Kerala Piravi, Diwali as well. Small events would be happening often. There are many groups like NSS, IEEE, IEDC, ACM etc working in our college everyone can join them according to their wish

Admission

I choose this college because it was the only one which I got since I wanted to be in the IT department. Mostly its difficult to get into IT or CS departments in our college even though there is large number of seats.

Faculty

5

There is a huge number of faculty there is no shortage in that. Every faculty in IT department is very friendly and supporting. They teach very well and help us in any way they can. Faculty wise I would say IT department is the best in the campus. There are 2 series exam and 1 university exam in a semester. Series exams would be 2 modules for a subject.

Night Life

2

There is a good gym, library and areas for study in our college. There are 2 cafeterias and these are the most happening places in our campus always busy with students. Hostel life is something I cant talk much since I am a day scholar. Places outside the campus that are good are some kms apart we need to travel some distance to reach there. You can stay in the library until 8pm and during Fridays hostelers can stay in the campus and can have activites until 10pm

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
