OUTR (formerly CET) Bhubaneswar Review

The curriculum is completely based on GATE and ESE syllabus thereby giving the students a wide variety of experience and coaching for the higher study exams. The syllabus is divided into modules and specific credits are given to each subject as per which CGPA is decided. The curricullums also ally with the modern industrial knowledge giving a wide scope of improvement to the students. Exams are moderate and strict evaluation is done with centralised evaluation. Thus fair method is used.

Placements are praiseworthy here. In my branch , average package is around INR 4 lakhs. There are good opputunities about getting a high paid job due to wide connectivity of the placement cell of the university. Its near 97 to 98 percent placement in all branches every year. My plans are to pursue higher studies since I am more allied to research purpose than industry working.

The University is Odisha State Governnment funded. The courses of Btech like CSE and IT are self funded. So there cost per year is 1,40,00. Cost of the core branches like Electrical Engineering, Civil etc is 32,000 per year. Apart from this there is a tuition fee waiver scheme for financially backward students. The cost will decrease for them based on the certifcate they produce as demanded by the university administration.

Overall campus life is smooth. Paid E bikes, friendly societies, technical clubs, cultural clubs and fests make thecollege life very happy. The library is filled with wide variety of engineering and research books which are easily available. The classrooms are well equipped with AC and boards giving a comfortable experience in education. There are timely sports meetup and competions which makes the college life more exciting.

Hostel food qualities are varied and tasty actually. For girls , breakfast is available while for boys its not. Rooms are well furnished and easy to accomodate. There are 4 hostels available in the campus premises and one more is being constructed.For boys the hostel is availabale only through JEE Rank while its available easily to girls without any ranking.

Since my rank was 80k in JEE Mains 2022, as per this rank , I could avail this university. Its main advantage is its location in the capital city region and high package jobs. The ease of access of transportation and network to the university gives an added advantage. The admission process is through OJEE Counselling but ranks from JEE Mains. Its easy and hassle free. The faculties provide wide support.

Faculty to student ratio is 1:70 for each section. Very much qualified faculties having their PhD and Mtech from reputated IITs and NITs are available here. They have wide variety of knowledge in fields related to various engineering streams. They constantly provide oppurtunites to work on various projects and internship oppurtunites alongwith research papers. They also provide constant support in recommendation to other universities and institutions.

For girls , the in time of hostel is 7:30 pm. So they can have evening life only. For boys its 11pm. Since the green campus and lighting is there , so night life is also enjoyable. There are cafes and gyms available till 9 pm. Cycles are available which can be driven in the night . There are many food stalls and stores available near the campus which makes the life of students so much enjoyable and funny.
