Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is well developed which helps in more of a interdisciplinary thinking than sticking to the major we are trying to pursue which helps us in thinking out of the box. Although I would recommend to decrease the time that we are supposed to spend on these courses and in that time give us a project to choose which helps us in real world applications so that we can get a good understanding and how to approach such projects. All the basics are well kept in all the courses but it would be better to some work load in a course and give a challenging project instead.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly for tution fees I need to pay 2,00,000. for hostel fees i need to pay 26,000 and for registeration, admission fee, medical fee, gymkhana fee and examination fee and other fee I need to pay 12,000. And for mess I need to pay an advanced of 45,000 per year and based on how much I eat I will get the refund by year ending. For SC/ST categories the tution fee is 0, and there are scholarships as well for other students based on parent income and merit as well. There are scholarships like Reliance etc.

Campus Life

3

The overall experience was good we have fests from 3 student institute bodies which are mood indigo, techfest and abhyuday and they majorly happen in december some events even happen in other months as well but majorly a big fest takes place in december, The classrooms are huge and are well equipped with AC and the library and reading halls are very nice with a wide range of books and journals and we can also access online journals from the library online website with our student credentials and library and reading halls are with ACs which gives us a good comfortable place to read. There are many student clubs as well like coding club, adventure club, sports club, photography club, dramatics club and so on and they conduct events hackathons and even have very nice projects which we can participate overall the experience will be great.

Admission

I havent applied to any other colleges actually since IIT Bombay CSE was the only college I wanted to join and from my JEE rank I was able to join in because of the prev year stats. IIT Bombay is a place all the top talent of the country get together and grow together we can see how challenging these people are and it gives us an enthusiasm to achieve something. to get to our college we generally need to get a good rank in JEE Advanced for which we need to qualify in JEE mains, for this they test us on 3 subjects on Math, Physics and Chemistry from the syllabus mentioned in their website it is a very competitive exam and we need to prepare rigorosly for 2 years and need to have a lot of understanding in the concept and need to keep a lot of content in the mind. We have to do previous year questions to get a trend of the concepts they test generally.

Faculty

5

Generally for each the course the number of students vary who take the course for some courses the number of students is generally 400 and these courses are generally popular elective courses or introduction courses which are mandatory to take other courses because these are the prerequisites in general. And some courses the the number of students are 200. most general case the number of students are 100-200 per course and the professors are very approachable they respond on mail for any query and they have their working hours where students can approach them for doubts and they also conduct help sessions for students who are facing difficulties and there are teaching assistants also to solve the doubts of students and for the preparation as well. The general format of exams is midsem and endsem and 2 quizzes one is pre medsem and another post midsem the difficulty increases there will be 2-3 very tough which need good understanding and thinking about the course which you have learnt and some very easy to gain marks and some moderate which requires attending the classes and solving the tutorials. the exams are well stimulating and we also get a good learning of the course through projects as well.

Night Life

4

We have a lot of activities that can be done after wrapping up the day we can chill with friends with nice places like the boat house and near the powai lake and even some terraces in the night which have a very nice view and we have sameer hills inside the campus a very nice trekking spot which we can go before sunrise to watch the sun rise, we have gym facilities with all the equipments, and inside the campus we have canteens for each hostel and a restaurant where most people party. The locality is safe to roam around night the security is strict and the night life is a really great thing here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes the curriculum is 50-50 where it is relevant as some point and it slightly turns irrelevant at some point but which is fine Some subjects like DSA and FDS are important and the fundamentals of computer stream But the m3 subject is just not needs according to me which makes it tough to understand so many subjects at some point We have 5 subjects per semester The curriculum helps to improve us in many ways where they teach us the relevant languages and makes us industry ready The improvement should be in the AI sector as it is the ongoing trend which might help everyone to improve their self The frequency of exams is ok if considered As the insem is around a month after the semester starts and the endsem is around 2 or 2.5 months after the insem That depends

The college has good placement offers and internships which helps students to get placed in good companies but sometimes they get less placement, the placement fro civil department has more numbers than any other department as the college owner is a builder , the college has higher placement jobs in it sector and technical sector too , the other non technical sector for placement are sales and marketing jobs which also offered in this college by the traning and placement team , the college has a department of training and placement.
