Likes

The professors of our department are quite friendly.
Co- curricular activities are given full support.

Dislikes

Rooms are quite small according to class size.
Washrooms are dirty and not in a condition to use.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is good but i feel some things are unnecessary. And it could have been more interesting if some good literature novels were included. I think the university can look again at the course which will be beneficial.

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 4000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 4000 . There is no scholarship available. The fees include magazine fees and other fees. The compulsory charges are unnecessary i feel as we never received the facilities. The process is also very lengthy.

Campus Life

Campus is small but the area where college is located is very pretty. Classrooms are also very small. Extracurricular activities are given importance and students are encouraged in participating in those activities. Seminars and other lectures are also held time to time.

Admission

First of all it is an all-girls college and I've heard about the college from many people. My cousin sisters were ex-students of this college. And the English department is way better than many other colleges.

Faculty

As a student of English department, i found my professors to be very friendly and good. They help us with everything and professors from other departments are also very good. Per sem two exams are held, mid terms and end sem.

Night Life

Is very peaceful and pretty. The college is near a very famous pond and located in centre of the city. There are many hangout spots near the college. Such as CCD, Starbucks, Brahmaputra riverfront, many cafes and restaurants etc.

COTTON UNIVERSITY - AN HONEST REVIEW

GC, A place to embark

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the uni. board has opted to follow the NEP 2020, the syllabus and the course patterns are very detailly picked for each semester. This education policy also has and lets students to take equal opportunities in learning a subject out of their honours paper, by letting them choose a wide range of common papers that might help in ability enhancement, skill enhancement, multidisciplinary and value added courses. This broadens a students level of expertise too. So its a great way of learning I'd say.

I have not scored very good in Higher Secondary examination. Hemo Prova Borbora college give admission to that girl's who get low marks. 2ndly this is the only girls college near our district and very secure for girls so that I select this college.

Remarks:

It has got Boys' as well as Girls' Hostel for those student who could hardly afford to stay as a paying guest. Various students who are unable to pay their daily expenses must go in hostel for the parents support.

Remarks:

My college is the best.

I chose Handique girls college because it was my childhood dream to get admission in this college and i didn't even tried to get admission in any other college . Because i was sure that if i want to go for graduation i will go to Handique girls college . So the admission procedure is we have to apply online for the admission then the names are shortlisted and the college team give us a specific date and from there we get selected for the particular course. To be honest at first i wanted to get admission in Cotton College but unfortunately i couldn't clear the eligibility criterias so far.
