All about St. Xavier's college Ranchi

As the session started late so we have less time to complete the syllabus but it will be fixed after one semester. Teachers don't go very fast in order to complete the syllabus they focus on that the students are understanding the lectures delivered. The frequency of exam is ok 2 in one semester. Difficulty of exam is moderate to hard

I've just joined the college so don't know much about it. But yes, there are whatsapp groups of college which brings company and provide internship opportunities to the students. They provide google form and after registration and selection you get certificate and stipend.

The fee is paid in two installments, 83000 in each. Tution fee- 15000 Registration fee- 300 Admission fee- 500 Development fee- 1500 Lab fee- 18000 Examination fee- 500 Departmental charges- 15200 and many such charges Scholarships are available. ST and SC and OBC students get scholarship. Also General students. NCC cadets get special scholarship.

Every month the college is having some or the other programs or workshops. Their are many clubs focusing on social services, personality development, co curricular activities like food stall, science exhibition, rangoli competition, nukkad natak etc. The college provides game time in evening for sports like basketball, volleyball, football, badminton.

In my state in Jharkhand St. Xavier's college Ranchi is the best college offering Bsc. Biotechnology. I will always prefer this college. I've applied for VIT Vellore but due to high fees I didn't join that

The faculties to students relationship is very good. Teachers are ready to explain any doubt at any time in college campus. In free time we can go to department staff room and clear the doubt. In Biotechnology department SSP sir is my favourite, I like his way of teaching. And even in Zoology and Botany department all the faculties are very knowledgeable and experienced. In each semester mid sem and end sem are conducted. 75% attendance is mandatory to write exam.

I personally don't know much about night life as I'm not a hosteller but the college have well equipped gym, 3 cafeterias, a big central library and shed and bench area to chill out with friends. You can come out of campus and enjoy the ranchi city.
