Likes

Girls to boys ratio is varying in all section .in my section it is 15:1
No partiality between boys and girls. They also can sit together or separately as per wish
The board used for teaching is both normal and digital

Dislikes

There is a attendance issue in every class daily
Student will be debarred if they have not 75% attendance.
College does not provide attendance for internship .

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science and information technology is a course that provide us both skills that is software and hardware. The college curriculum is well structured and regular exams are taken on time like st1 st2 put etc.

Placement Experience

The placement of ajay kumar garg engineering college is quite good in 2024 with highest package of 45 lpa and average package of 6 lpa. From 7 semester student is eligible for campus placement. Various companies like TCS ,wipro ,cognizant visit our college. Also 95% student placed from our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of first year for any branch is 1,42,256 but for fee waiver students 21,240. The college also provide scholarship for students who have family annual income less than 1,00,000. There is also additional examination fees of amount 7500 ,the student will have to pay before university examination

Campus Life

The campus life in akgec is not very good because college always try to crate a study based environment. The fests of colleges are fesher and diwali fair and no others . a large no. Of books are available in library and college have well equipped classroom with digital board also.various clubs are also there in college like taal society ,verve,etc.

Admission

I choose this college over others because the college have very vast campus of 40 acre and accredited with NAAAC++ (only collge in up ). I also get confirmed admission from tezpur university but the brach is civil that's why i didn't take that. The admission process is from jee mains exam and direct admission. The cutoff is nearly 1 lakh

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 15:1 which is quite impressive. Faculty are highly skilled and well understanding.The best faculty of my class is Shiwani Singhal Mam who teaches us Chemistry in easiest way they know and also supports us in any condition.

Interview Experience

No we didn't face any witeen test or interview group discuss mainly it is for the students who are taking direct admission in college they didn't come from jee mains counselling thus they have to face this.

Night Life

Night life is not quite impressive but college have volleyball ground where we can go and play till 10pm and college library have also timing i think closing timing is 7 pm or 9 pm. Hangout places are sanchi street.

RECM - Underrated but a great future ahead.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to appear for placement from seventh semester. In Civil Engg Dept 40 students enrolled for campus placement and 28 students were offered jobs till the final semester. L&T Infra, Tata Steel, Prism Cement, ACC Cement are some of the prime recruiters. Highest package offered was 7.5 lpa , lowest 4.2 lpa and median was 5.5 lpa. Profiles offered were Project Associate ,BIM Engineer, Site Supervisor, Area Head (Sales). 70% of students got placed in the first batch of this college from civil engg dept. Currently I am serving as Junior Engineer at DFCCIL (Railways).

I chose this college as in previous times it was doing quite good in placements and but now most of the students are unplaced. Other colleges I've applied to are JSS noida, Galgotias etc are these colleges got a better placement ratio that my college. But campus of other campus are smaller compared to AKGEC. so bascially i didn't choose this college . i did mistake in my uptac counselling and get this college but when i studied here and seen all the aktu colleges i prefer this is good because it ranked 3 in up colleges .the college is ranked 3 in whole up and its naac A++ so yes its a great college so to get admission in akgec there are two ways by 10+2 percentage marks or by uptac counselling you have to fill your choices in uptac counselling so fill it very carefully without any mistake so the overall to get any cs/it branch your jee percentile should be above 88 and below that you can get any other core branches....Read More

Earlier, the admission process was based on the AKTU exam and its counseling. From 2021, they started taking admission on JEE mains score.
