Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the course beacause i had a keen interest in AI. The course is mostly related to all the technology we need for the basic use.The new techynologies that are upcoming in the world are mostly not in the cirriculum. The real world applications are much higher level that the cirriculum. The practical knowledege amd use of new tecn=hnologies and teaching of new topic should be included. Exams are well timed.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship opportunites are inhouse internships that college provides with no stipend. Also the companies do not provide internship by coming to our college we have to approach them for the same and the stipend is usually 3000 for 3 months. Projects the college tell us to do so are valuable the companies really like them.

Placement Experience

4

Yes the college offers placements opportunities. KPMG, Capgemini. nVent. TCS, Accenture, etc are the various companies that visit the college for placement. Highest pacakge wasn 30LPA as per i remember and the average pacakge is aroud 4.5-5 LPA. Percentage of students gettind placed is 75%. I would prefer going for masters. The students become eligible at the end of third year in the 6th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure includes distinct fees based on category and year. For scenod and thid year Regular students the fees is 135000 inclusing tution, development, exam and miscellaneous fee. TFWS students pay a reduced total of 20156 covering only development exam and miscellanous. J&K category have seperate structure titaling 29200. several Governmnt scholarships like Rajashri Chhatrapti Shahu Maharaj Scholarship (EBC) and OBC SBC Tution fee waiver scholarships of MAHADBT are also offered. Tution fee - 115044 dev fee - 14956 eaxm fee - 2200 misc fee - 3000

Campus Life

4

The college is a absoulte go about the fests. We have our annual fest TML and our technical fest Cognition. We have also many other festivals and occasions fests held in our college and they all are amazing. All books are available in the library and the range is wide. All classrooms have projectors and all labs have PC's with AC cooled labs. Sports are a bit of let down but yes there is a very good sports team who have won many competitions. The college has several clubs like GDSC, CSI. Ecell, TechTeam, Cultural Team, Student Council, Aarambha(Drama), Aaroha(singing), Aagmi(Dance), etc. and many more. These have a very good imapct on students life.

Admission

I wasn't sure of any college at all. I got alloted this college and this is not a bad college in my area. It is in the top 10 colleges in Mumbai university. I applied for VJTI, Sardar Patel, VESIT also but my marks were not up to the cut for them. Admission process is with the CAP round of the University, once college gets alloted we have to come to college submit all the necessary documents confirm your admission by paying fees and thats it. The exams accpeted are JEE and MHTCET.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is the best part about it. The faculty is very skilled and they all have their unique way to deliver knowledge to the students. Most of the faculty use various real life examples and senarios to deliver a topic. Mr. Hrishikesh Vichore was one of the best sir we got with to learn. His explanations with thye aspects and the topics of AI were extraordinary. I would say the least liked faculty we had was Mrs. Sonal Patil beacuse she always had a hurry to complete her syllabus. Faculty and student relationship is very good and faculties always are welcoming anytime we approach them. There are two interanl exams and one semester exam in one semester. It is mostly relevant to the cirriculum. Almost 95% of the students clear exams.

Night Life

1

The college is closed at night and there is no hostel. The gym is good and cafeterias is decent I would say. 4-5 hangout spots in the campus. All this is closed at night as I said college is closed. The college timings are 9-5:30.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
