Honest review of birla institute of technology mesra

Course ciriculum is outdated and old. Needs to be updated. Exams are of average difficulty. Curriculum does not prepare us for real world industry. I personally chose aiml because of interest . It is a recently introduced branch. 2k24 are the 3rd batch of aiml students.

Bit mesra is an above average college with good placement opportunities for computer science and electronics and electrical engineering. Personally I feel syllabus is outdated and iiits have better syllabus for cse and ece branches

Campus Life is chill. There are many clubs and societies and are very active throughout the year. Even though the budget for fests is less but they are plenty fun to attend. There are several opportunities to grab which will impact in a positive way. Sports facilities are great for who ever plays. Many books are accessible in library. Labs and technical facilities are plenty . There is a super computer in the research and development building . Annual fests are - BITOTSAV : biggest fest at birla institute of technology Mesra, Pantheon : annual technical fest and many more fests are held.

Hostel facility is average. The rooms are small for two people. They should be given out as single rooms after first year. Mess is below average. Sometimes proper hygiene is not maintained in mess .No air conditioning service is provided in any of the hostels. First years get hostel 1,2,3 and 4. These hostels are near the main building and going to classes is easy in first year.

I applied for punjab engineering college Chandigarh, National institutes of technology agartala , National institute of technology silchar , Indian institute of information technology Surat, Indian institute of information technology raipur, Indian institute of information technology ranchi and some other colleges . I chose this college over other colleges because this was the college with best branch and best college which I recieved at my rank

Faculty to student ratio is bad. Teaching depends on the teacher. Some teachers are good where as others are below average teaching. Exams are average of difficulty.they can be passed by studying for 2-3 days before the exam.

Gym , library and academic buildings close off before 8 pm. Night canteens are available upto 12 pm or sometimes even 2 am. Boys hostel doesn't really have an in time. But girls hostel intime is around 7 pm. There aren't many places to hangout in ranchi.
