Course Curriculum Overview

3

I didn't chose this course. I just got it in the spot round as this was the only relevant course left. It is good for students who are preparing or planning to go into civil services as it gives time for preparation. It doesn't prepare us for real world applications or industry. This course should be removed from every college. The teaching method is no doubt good but it doesn't make us industry ready. Timings of end semester exam is not good as we have to go to take our exam in chilling cold wave.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are few internship opportunities directly from the college but other than this many internship opportunities are there for the students with good college and work-life balance. Students get paid for their good work.

Placement Experience

3

I don't know anything about placement of our course students. I only know that there is a placement cell called CYFLE which is active. It provides many opportunities to students for jobs. Average package is ?400000 . 27 percent students got placed last year .

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year fees was ?20155 2nd year fees was ?18975 3rd year fees is ?18765 Caution fees is ?2000 which is included in first year fees rest we have exam form registration fees for every semester which is approximately ?1800 per semester. The fees is increasing every year as per the seniors. The fees for BSc Hons students are much less than us despite the fact that their course is more relevant, their fees is around ?15000-?16000 per year. There is a financial assistance scheme of our college where the approved bonafide students get ?5000 per month for 3 years but for that students should not have bad performance in semester exams if so will lead to stoppage of scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The annual festival is SABRANG which is celebrated in March. There is a wide variety of books in the library and it is big. Movable green boards are present in the classroom and smart board in few classes . Sports activities are there and extracurricular activities other than sports are there.

Admission

I applied to almost all colleges under University of Delhi. I got Rajdhani college at first because of misplacing it in the first preference so I rejected it and got out of the councilling. Then in the spot round I got this college and course. I didn't make it to other good college due to poor preference list. The admission process is very easy. The exam is CUET and the cutoff goes from 250-500 marks out of 600.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 2:60 for every subject. The faculty is responsive and helpful. The faculty by themselves tell us to come to them if we need any help which makes us feel safe. I specially like Gajendra Sir from Chemistry department who is very cooperative. He is always ready to help us. There are 2 semester exams every year with a gap of 4 months. The level of exam is moderate. Few students fail to clear exams due to poor attendance and low internal marks. The course is somehow relevant.

Night Life

4

Gym is available although it is not big enough. Library is very big and has good amount of books. There is no hostel. Hangout places are Burger Singh, Haldiram, Dominos, KFC, etc. Locality is safe at night as there is a police station just near to the college and good lighting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly
