My thoughts about VIT

Courses are well planned and very informative They always ask us to implement the learnt course in real life for assignments Curriculum is bit vast The timings of exams are perfect for a college running only 5 days a week They are pretty easy to pass

Students are placed into companies from the 7th semester of the college Many companies like Amazon x, LNT visit VIT for placement Highest package I have heard of is 75LPA Average package is 9LPA I plan on joining Defence after getting the degree

The fees i paid for tuition is 190000 per year for category 1 seat The fee structure is based on categories Category 2- 350000 per annum Category 3- 400000 Category 4 - 500000 Category 5 - 600000 The hostel fee includes all the amenities fee and depends on which room you choose I currently pay 136000 per year for my 6 bed room hostel Scholarships are provided for students who need financial assistance and children of defence personnel

There are 2 fests in VIT 1 RIVIERA 2 Gravitas The available books in Library are large in number The classes and labs are well equipped with technology Vit offers many sports (all the sports i can think of) All the clubs and chapters are run by students in VIT with a faculty guidance

My hostel type is 6 bed AC room We are provided with a table with a study light, a chair ,a bed , a cupboard and a shelf. Mess quality depends on the mess you choose Some messes have better food than others Registration for hostel is a bit different in VIT people are alloted councelling based on rank for hostels but they can choose their roommates There are not so good hostels outside VIT

I applied to JNTUH in mechanical engineering apart from this college. This college has better faculties than JNTUH so i chose VIT. Obviously i tried to go to IIT or NIT but couldn't achieve that goal due to high competition and the reservation system Admission into VIT is based on their entrance exam VITEEE The cutoff is not exactly provided by the institute

Each class for a faculty has 70 students and in labs it is mostly 35 students per lab faculty Faculties except for the blacklisted ones are approachable and appreciate your doubts I liked Prof.Sandeep Chakraborty as he is very friendly and also strict ehen it comes to study I hated Prof. Chilukuri Venkata Mahendra , he was our BEEE professor and he expected us to know everything before he explained anything to us and also expects us to follow the same steps as him to solve the questions in exams or he would give it 0. There are total of 3 exams in VIT per semester :- CAT1 ,CAT2 , FAT. They are pretty easy to clear unless you have a shitty faculty
