The curriculum is now CBME based it is slightly different form the tradition way of approach. Here provides lecture classes, SGD ( small group discussions) , SDL ( Self-directed learning) , AETCOM classes (which stands for Attitude, Ethics, and Communication) integrated sections ( here all the departments takes part ) , role plays . CMEs are also conducted

Internships Opportunities

The entire course consists of 4 and half yr plus one year internship. You have to pass final year to be a CRMI (Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship) During internship you will be stipend around 30000Rs per month . It is the most critical time to gain clinical knowledge.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Year wise fees structure For 1st year it's about 1800Rs 2nd year is 7300Rs 3rd year is about 7000Rs and final year is about 6000Rs You have to pay for tusion fees , special fees, library fees , group insurance etc. The above given is the cumulative amount. Other than these you would be going to pay for books (which will be available in stores, u can buy from anywhere its upto your choice) for recods per year, necessary kits and there is exam fees of about 1000Rs per year Scholarships are available for categories of obc/ sc/st who got admission through state quota. Per year will be provided with around 20000Rs you have to apply for it. And other set of scholarship is for 7.5 category students for then the entire course is for free even the book fees, mess bill will be provided by the government

Campus Life

College events are surely the best part of college life. There is culturals along with the magazine release, sports day, tamil mandram, hostel day, Nowadays intercollege participation is improving on behalf of sports There is two library one is provided with books and the other one is the self study areas. It will be open from 8 to 7;30 on weekdays.

Hostel Facilities

For freshers there is seperate hostel building later they will be shifted to the old one. As a fresher 2 students need to share a room later need to share among 3 . Each person will be provided with a cot table and a chair and a cupboard . Room will be having 2 fans and 3 tubelights. The windows will be having mosquito mesh . Toilet is common. If you are a CRMI you have to shift to another hostel within the campus there single room is allotted for a person. Mess food is good sometimes the quality of food is not upto the level. The mess is run by students

Admission

The admission is purely through the counseling conducted by both state government and the Indian government ie through state quota and all India quota respectively. It is based on NEET UG marks , There will be 3 counseling sections .You have to secure good enough mark to get admission.

Faculty

There will be on an average 20 students per facility. It may vary depending on the departments. Mentors are allotted for students to help them with the academic improvement . There will be 1 university examination per year rather than the frequent assessments conducted by the college. If you fail in the university exam ( if not getting a pass percent of 50) need to write the supplementary exam which will be conducted within 1 month and if you clear it can join with the same batch.
