We are based on CBME curriculum.So our learning is based on practicals. The practical classes are very good.. Application of curriculum starts from 2nd year itself.The University exams will be held once a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for govt quota and management quota varies around 10 lakhs.The complete fee for government quota is 50 lakhs.and for management quota is 1 crore.Ypu can easily get a job but most person decide to pursue PG after UG

Campus Life

The campus is good in sense with environment and climate. You can go and play in ground.But the campus is strict. Only uniforms for students.Culturals and other programme may. Pursue .The technology are very good inside the classroom.The library also have wide range of medical books.

Admission

You have to have around 520 and above in NEET exam to get a seat in government quota.The NEET exam will be held once a year.Application will be announced in NMC website and further updates can be seen there..

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Life in CMC

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Life as an undergrad in Sree mookambika medical college

The colleges i applied includes government and other deemed universities. Psg institute of medical science coimbatore, kasturba mangalore were among other colleges applied. Choose this college since my cousin studied here and told good reviews about this college. The proximity was nother reason for choosing this college. The admission is by NEET examination conducted by NBE. This sylabus includes 11 and 12th biology, chemistry and physics. Eligibiltiy is 50% marks in NEET exam which is a competitive exam. During the admission process there were a lot of chaos as we were the first batch in tamilnadu in which neet exam was taken for admission to various colleges. Previously marks in 12th board was considered for admission process. Now NEET has become the standard exam for admission to any medical college and is the preferred exam for all medical aspirants. The cutoff for the exam is 50 percentile. I could not make it to government college as we had studied matric syllabus instead of cbse. NEET is completely based in CBSE syllabus and hence i had to completely study the cbse textbooks to clear the neet exam after by board exams which was really a hard task....Read More

Sree Mookambika college of medical sciences - an outlook

Prefer this college over other private colleges in tamilnadu since it has good academics. It has a good foundation as it is an old college. Admission process is through NEET. Cutoff for this exam is 50 percentile. Overall admission expwrience is quite disappointing as they pospone dates and there is much delay...Read More
