Has great skillful teaching facility with good experience and knowledge
The campus is too lush green with good air quality
College celebrates all important functions and has wide ramge of cultural events

Dislikes

It is a bit far from city takes a bit time to reach
No nearby market cafe to enjoy during our free time
Not too much public transport facility in this route

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed BAMS because of increasing demand of ayurveda medicine. Needs bit more reacher works in this field More clinical exposure to students during UG course Exams need to be conducted on time yearly along with monthly assessments

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 128500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for batch 2019 was 185000 (including tuition fee,admission fee, CDF, security deposit, sports fee, lab fee,)for ist year And for rest 4 yrs it was 128500(only tuition fee) It increased for the other batches after 2019

Campus Life

College celebrates every cultural fest Every national event Extra curricular activities happen too often Sports week is celebrated every year along with cultural week. Library is having wide range if books that are needed during the course

Admission

I got this college after attending the counseling This college is oldest college in north india having a well experienced faculty which is lacking in otber colleges Admission in this college is after qualifying neet exam and getting the desired cutoff percentage whic varies every year

Faculty

Good number of well experienced teachers who have great teaching skills and knowledge. Best facility are in Dept Of Shalya tantr, Kayachikitsa, Dravyaguna, Rog nidan, Kriya sharir Interaction with teachers from south India is a bit hectic due to language difference Only one university exam yearly, but frequent weekly assessments is beneficial

A glimpse to JIAR jammu

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bams is a very good course.. Here we learn about the ancient medicine.. How things in our surrounding aan we very beneficial for us. So here each proff is of 1.5 years And in each proff there are 3exams after every 6 months. The first 2 are terminals and are conducted in college and the last is the main proff exam which is conducted by the uni affiliated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BAMS is our tradition, the oldest type of medical science and with the advent of growing ayurvedic practices in day-to-day life, it is a good course to take up. The college takes around 90 students per batch where there is no fixed female: male ratio. The faculty is decent. The administration could be better. The exams were sometimes not conducted on time or the result was pending and due to covid, the 5.5 yr got converted to almost 7 yrs.

Remarks:

Well it needs improvement in academics and new teaching learning methods and in a friendly atmosphere classes can be taken. College needa good furniture for students and coolers in classrooms, projectors for advanced education proper cleaniness and well equipped bathrooms and hygiene.

After giving the JKCET (state exam for medical colleges), I got into the college after the counselling sessions held. I tried for MBBS but couldn't get into it and chose BAMS later. There was no such quota. I applied in Open merit although JKCET has quotas like sc/st/obc etc Counselling is the same as any other counselling process.
