The faculty is good they teach very seriously
The environment is good no noise no pollution
Library..extra curricular activities..can ask doubt anytime

Dislikes

Place where it's located is far away frm main road
On less than 75% attendance they took fine.
Washrooms are not good...nd classroom are also not gud acc to fee

BAMS scope is increasing day by day..ayurveda is best... curricular awsm...yes improvement can be done in some areas..teaching method is good they mk u understand every concept took test nd do every possible thing...timing of exams is ok acc to its level

No stipend provided in this college No companies offered here.. But they provide internship but they dnt provide stipend internship r provided in 4-5 different places and hospital including 6 month ayurveda nd 6 month allopathic

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid in frst year 2 lakh 10 thousand for remaining 4 year it's 1 lakh 31 thousand but yes year by year it's increasing... admission upon neet basis so no scholarship or financial aid...now course changes into 3 year so different fee pattern

Campus Life

Sports week ... Goonj festival... Dhanwantri festival.. charak jayanti Every festival is celebrated here like Holi Diwali etc. Books are sufficient in library Some students run their pages on Instagram nd doing business

Admission

I applied for counselling I got BUMS but it has less scope though it was a totally govt.college but still I choose this coz I m interested in ayurveda...I didn't get rejection frm any clg... admission process is based on NEET exam...cut off is not that much high but u need minimum more than 250 marks in NEET...I had 283...

Faculty

Faculty is more than required...I cnt take a single name every teacher is good...most of them understand you...there r 4 or 5 subjects per year...moderate level exams...60-70% students pass other reappear fr one to two exam again...

A glimpse to JIAR jammu

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bams is a very good course.. Here we learn about the ancient medicine.. How things in our surrounding aan we very beneficial for us. So here each proff is of 1.5 years And in each proff there are 3exams after every 6 months. The first 2 are terminals and are conducted in college and the last is the main proff exam which is conducted by the uni affiliated.

I choosed BAMS because of increasing demand of ayurveda medicine. Needs bit more reacher works in this field More clinical exposure to students during UG course Exams need to be conducted on time yearly along with monthly assessments

Course Curriculum Overview:

BAMS is our tradition, the oldest type of medical science and with the advent of growing ayurvedic practices in day-to-day life, it is a good course to take up. The college takes around 90 students per batch where there is no fixed female: male ratio. The faculty is decent. The administration could be better. The exams were sometimes not conducted on time or the result was pending and due to covid, the 5.5 yr got converted to almost 7 yrs.

Remarks:

Well it needs improvement in academics and new teaching learning methods and in a friendly atmosphere classes can be taken. College needa good furniture for students and coolers in classrooms, projectors for advanced education proper cleaniness and well equipped bathrooms and hygiene.

After giving the JKCET (state exam for medical colleges), I got into the college after the counselling sessions held. I tried for MBBS but couldn't get into it and chose BAMS later. There was no such quota. I applied in Open merit although JKCET has quotas like sc/st/obc etc Counselling is the same as any other counselling process.
