Likes

Professor's are very supportive and few of them are profound scholar.
Exposure - Since the college is in Delhi, students got an opportunity to explore.
Campus - Campus of Jamia Millia Islamia is very beautiful.

Dislikes

To be very honest there was nothing which can be disliked by anyone.
Lift is generally not in working condition.
Law and Management have same building. It needs to be separated.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is specially designed according to the guidelines of Bar Council of India. But in my opinion the design of course is best for judiciary aspirants and also for the students who wants to pursue career in corporate.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience

There was no placement in the college. In my memory only 4-5 students got placed during the course. Placement cell is very lethargic and inactive. Instead of taking their support students prefer to join senior advocate under whom they have done internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees of the course is around 50k. Students need to pay 10k annually. There is no fees relaxation for any category of students in any circumstances. Although there are several scholarship schemes available for the students but most of them are for minority.

Campus Life

Overall experience was awesome if you are thinking about college life. Campus is very beautiful and student roam there even in mid night. Library is also opened till late mid night. People outside have misconception that this university is not safe for Hindu which is absolutely wrong.

Admission

Reason why someone should choose this college - Instead of going into lower National Law University one should go for Faculty of Law Jamia Millia Islamia because of several benefits. The benefits are- 1. Very nominal fee 2. Location will definitely allow you to explore the best and apex court and various tribunal's.

Faculty

There are around 60 students in a class. Daily 4-5 classes has been taken by professor. Professor's are very knowledgeable and experienced and supportive too. Each and every professors have more than 10 years of experience subject to certain exceptions.

As a Law Student , the curriculum they provide ,actually helps me to develop my passion for the same . Its offers wide range of knowledge which is essential to know for my good carrer. The cousre itself base on a real - life Application still it provides us a far more exposure to law ( like visit to the courts , conducts session with advocates , reources persons of the same field). At our college to get the PPO is the best way as college hardly has placements opportunities to be honest. Most law colleges though face this issue as placement for law college happens only at top NLUs and all.

My plans are simple that I will enroll for LLM IP program at NLU Delhi and will try my best to get admission there. Practicing and hard court struggle in courts is not my thing and so teaching in an institution is my liking and LLM gives me that option to exercise.

Placement Experience:

Some students who got placements were placed for 30-35k a month. However last batch was of 150 students and around 30 students were placed. So it's poor placements as of now and in law getting placed via campus is quite tough.

The law department's faculty members are highly qualified, and their teaching methods are commendable. They are extremely hardworking, and they go out of their way to give us a lot of exposure by taking us to the supreme court, high court, Dwarka district court, parliament, and other places. They frequently have several sessions with honorable justices from various courts. Our teachers put in a lot of effort and try their hardest to keep our standards to NLUs when it comes to organizing MUNS to national moot court competition.

The main reason of rejecting other two colleges and joining Jamia was that Jamia is Central University.
