Course Curriculum Overview
Robotics and Automation is a relatively new and upcoming course whoch led me to my decision of taking uo the field as there is potential employment for the field in the future, but solely talking about the ciriculum there are aspects like AI in auromation that peaked my interest, the course ciriculum throught the 4 years completely get you ready to get out there and start your proffesinal journey as there is a lot of hands on experience from the first year itself. There could be more subjects related to automation other than its core application is the only suggestion. The frquency of our exams is twice in half a year ot to be exact 2 times in a semester and acc to me the exam is quite easy.
Internships Opportunities
Many small time companies come to symbiosis for an internship program usually as a helping hand and for the student to gain a lot of real life job experience. The projects are related to the field itself and guidance is given to comllete the task.
Placement Experience
There are placemebts given by the college which is done after 4th year of college aka 8th semester. There are endless top tier companies that visit sit from L&T to microsoft. Average package is around 750000 and highest was i believe 5300000 per year. The college also provides international higher studies which is likely my plan after college. Around 70% students are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
For my branch which is robotic and automatuon the first year fees are 315000rs in which 15000 is the institution fee and 300000 is the tuition fee, from 2nd year onwards the fees is 300000. The fees do vary based on branch but as of now there is no inflation in prices over the years as far as i know... the fees are worth the money as there are top tier recources to help you grow. I have not opted for any hostel or mess as i am a localite.
Campus Life
This is what the college excels at. Thee are multiple oppurtunities like fests, tournaments etc outside of academics. There are multiple clubs making sure every student has a club they are interested in. The library is huge with not just educational books but also reading books. There is also a college elibrary. Every sport has a team in SIT and ample space to practice for it.
Admission
I had applied to MIT-WPU as well as SIT and got into both colleges but i preffered SIT as the field i got here was better in oppurtinity and i believe it holds more value over MIT as of now due to symbiosis still having a low acceptance rate in comparison to MIT. To get into SIT get more than 45% in boards, you nay give 3 exams that they accept which is CET (93 percentile cutoff), SITEEE (exam given by college aim to score more than 80/120), JEE (85 percentile cutoff).
Faculty
The faculty, honest to god, is amazing all of them alre quite helping, they will provide any neccessary tools or resources to help you advance. A class size is around 70 and even that is split of into 3 groups so a size of 23 students each having a mentor we can go to for any troubles. There are really good teachers including Neeru maam, Ramesh sir, Junaid sir who all have helped and guided in theory lectures as well as amazing lab teachers such as Akhila maam who all have helped guide me personally in my exlerience as a first year. There arent any faculties i havent liked as of yet as every staff ive met was quite helpful. In one semester there are 2 exams, a midsem and a endsem they are quite easy it is rare to fail and if so the student gets oppurtinites to clear them up again, the course curriculum is comlletely relevant to the field.
