A journey worth sharing

The current Director is good and progressive. The Institute is able to get the visibility from the Senior Govt. functionaries and it will be good if more and more visits from eminent personalities are arranged.

Institute conducted its own entrance test for the MBA Course in the year 2003. However, after that it conducts on the basis of CAT scores.

The internship opportunities are not offered but has to be created by the students by themselves. Nothing gets served in this institute on a platter. Students needs to be proactive to seek the internship opportunities and this for sure make them understand the dynamics of Industry. There is no stipend offered generally as the internships are mostly arranged through personnel efforts of the students.

The fee structure was very reasonable during the time I studied. Since the institute is Govt funded, we never felt that the institute is in to money making business.

The institute does offer scholarships to the needy students. M.Tech students used to get monthly stipned from HRD Ministry and MBA students used to be jealous with them.,

There is a lot of buzz in the campus life. The institute boasts of lot of infrastructure facilities like sports area, indoor stadiums. There is never a lull in terms of activities happening on the campus. There are many clubs which keep organizing these events. However, UG students used to be much more active than the PG students in participating in these events.

The Hostel facilities are excellent and the mess areas are also very good. The Hostel facilities also has large play area facilities. The Boys and Girls Hostel are at quite a distance from each other. Gwalior, being a hot place, cooler facility should be

The Alumni network is very week and the institute need to invest in building the alumni network. There have been efforts in past the revive the alumni network but those efforts never fructify. The institute need to take this very seriously.

The Exam structure in the institute is quite a relaxed one with not very hectic schedule of assignment submission or exams. The institute follows a credit system where one needs to earn compulsory credits.
