Likes

Best faculty - The faculty is really experienced and good with full knowledge over their subject.
The college has all the labs and equipments required for studies.

Dislikes

The Infrastructure is old since the college was opened in 1964 it needs to be renovated.
Lack of events and techfest is one the key problems here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is the same as any other engineering college. There are 6 subjects in each semester with Labs.The course was revamped few years ago but still it has unnecessary subjects in the first year which makes no sense to study for a Computer Science student like me.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 47260 per year

Placement Experience

The alumnis of the college are well settled in top companies around the world. The placements currently are not that good. Average package is only 3.5 LPA but the students take off campus placement and achieve really good packages in top companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for 4 year is 47260rs First year fees including admission fees is 22k After 1st year the yearly fees is 12250rs For girls there is no Fees. The scholarship is provided by the State Government for only the SC , ST and OBC students.

Campus Life

My overall experience with college is good. The seniors are good and helpful they provide us with all the pyqs and notes for all the subjects. The sports is also good as there is regular tournaments going on. There are only 4 clubs 1 Yoga club 2 Literary club 3 Cultural Club 4 Sports Club

Admission

I wanted to take admission in this college only, I didn't have any other college in my mind I already knew about the college and had some of my uncle's who are alumni of this college. To take admission in GEC Bilaspur you have to pass your 12th with 45% and have to give CGPET exam and score good rank to get a seat here. The competition is high to get a seat in GEC Bilaspur since it's the best college in chhattisgarh after IIT and NIT.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is really good. All the faculty members are really helpful and knowledgeable. They have all the experience needed for teaching the subjects. The exam pattern is given by CSVTU which is the university my college is affiliated to. There are two Class Tests of 20 marks each and a Final End sem exam of 100 marks.

Truth about NIT Raipur

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is so good as per the stats . Like students are eligible for placements from there 7th sem . No. Of companies visited is around 200 (guess). Offers made 600(guess) . Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .
