Entrance Preview
The entrance exam through which I got admission in nit DGP is AIEEE, My score or say rank in AIEEE was 2346 in year 2012 the reason that I took admission in this College is because NIT Durgapur is widely regarded as the 5th best among all NITs, and among the top 30 in all engineering colleges of India of course, a lot also depends on the course you select. For example, NITD is the second best Indian college for Metallurgy the stream which I took is EEE.
Internships Opportunities
I have done some internship as my branch was EEE and internship was a part for our stream and all other students from core branches got good internship in PSU like Sail, BHEL, NTPC and private companies like Macnally Bharat and Tata Steel.
Placement Experience
The college boasts of nearly 100% placements some of the top firms from across India and the world come and recruit here in numbers. Though the average is about Rs.5 lac per annum, Google and Amazon have come once in a while and offered whopping salaries of between 10 and 13 lac. TCS comes every year and takes about 30% of total campaning students.

The fee structure is Rs 17,500 (Tuition fee persemester)Rs 10,700 (other compulsory feepayable at the time of admission )Rs 2100 (Mess fee payable at thetime of admission) Rs 2000 Mess charge per month(approx) its pretty low compared to private colleges.

We in NITD has National Institute of Technology Durgapur Alumni Association (NITDAA) celebrates the global meet every year on the 2nd Sunday of January at the NITD campus, where RECD/NITD ex students from all over the Globe converge to celebrate the foundation of the association, meet their classmates and enjoy a couple of fun filled days.
