Likes

The things I liked in this college are the various cultural activities that can be found on campus . The college also has AC class rooms , with photography studios and much more. The faculty are also very friendly and supportive of students.
The students in this college are also very creative and friendly. The campus is rag free with no trouble .
The relevance and rigour of the course curriculum is very helpful personally and professionally .

Course Curriculum Overview

This curriculum has really benefited me . It has really helped me prepare for the real world The faculty has taught all the necessary soft ware to become a graphic designer and all the necessary photography methods to become a photographer The curriculum can be improved by exploring more about the world of direction and film making. The timing of the exams have no issue.

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for the first year was 85000 + 5000 as admission fees The fees for the second year was 85000 The fees for the third year is also 85000 The fees of my other batch mates was also the same. There are scholarships for students on sports quota and merit. There are no development fees or lab fees in this college.

Campus Life

The college has many events such pancea , Milan and Aarush which are very fun. All the books are accessible to students The college encourages all sports activities such as football volleyball basketball badminton etc There are many clubs such oasis English club aura acting club pirates of photon photography club etc

Admission

I applied to Loyola college , Dg Vaishnav college of arts and science and Jain university, Bangalore. I got admitted in Jain but I chose Srm to be more close to home. I didn't get into Loyola as I didn't meet the qualifications criteria. Admission is to apply on the web portal , the college will call u for the counselling and u can get admitted

Faculty

The faculty of our college are very friendly and enthusiastic. They have been a pillar of support for me and my fellow classmates. Robert sir , Jacob sir , Sarath sir are some my favourite faculties There are 2 cycle tests and 1 model exam and 1 university exam per semester The marks are calculated along with the practicals and they use the grading system

Good Learning Environment But need more Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.
