What Students Say

Likes

The subjects taught are very much practical and specific to branch.
All faculties are doctorate and possess immense knowledge about their subject.
Food quality in mess is very healthy and hygienic and also doesn't lack in taste.

Dislikes

Located very far from the main city and has nothing but empty lands all around it.
Lots of empty space on campus and constant construction, therefore nothing available to do on campus.
Student intake is very high, increasing the amount of crowd.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very nice, and all the subjects are relevant to the name of the course, and also feel as if they will be useful The curriculum very much teaches us for the real world applications. Improvement in teaching methods could include addition of digital and smartboards, and stronger Wi-Fi and internet withing the academic premises.

Class Size: 1500Course Fees: INR 201000 per year

Internships Opportunities

As stated earlier, I have no clue about placements and therefore I also don't have any idea about which companies are available. But I can say for sure that many of the big tech giant companies do offer placements.

Placement Experience

I am personally unaware of the procedure of placements as I am just a fresher, but from as much as I have heard, you are allowed in the on campus placements only if you have a CGPA above 9.0 and no charges against you. You are eligible for placements in your 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

My year wise tution fees is 2,01,000 INR for the course duration of 4 years. The fee structure is a category based structure, where you are alloted a fee category based on your rank in the VITEE exam.

Campus Life

My overall experience with campus life is very boring. There are activities conducted for social life but they have a lot of restriction and require extra money for registration. There are a lot of clubs for different types of field which is also very helpful.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is very good, all basic amenities are taken care of and hygiene and cleanliness are taken care of. The authorities are also very gentle if you don't have any bad reputation of yourself.

Hostel Fee: INR 155036 per year

Admission

The reason I chose this college over others was because of the tag of VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) and also because I didn't have very much options to choose from. Other than that there are no specific reasons to select this college.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very decent, as no student has lack of faculty and no faculty has too much load of classes. The relation between faculty and student is very good and has no problems. Also students are given the opportunity to select their own faculty and the time slot they want their classes to be in, which is a very great initiative. Teachers are also aware of the growth of tech in today's world and therefore this university has introduced a system of CALTECH, which includes teaching using technology,

After 6th semester you will Elligble for in campus placement and their are many internship and placement providing apps which are connected with our college like Internshala and our college also has own incubation center where students can brings their startup ideas and if they like your startup they will invest on it and student also got chance to get internship on that and got certificate and highest package is of 1.2 cr off campus and Average pacakge is of 5 to 6 lpa and their is basically 85 to 90% placement rate and my plan is to become ai ml engeener and grow in AI area

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

Placement Experience:

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
