Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course covers almost all topics and concepts required. Teachers also teach extra syllabus if they find it relevant. But some subjects need updating like there is an ENGLISH LITERACY subject which includes writing letter, reports etc. It is even more basic than 12th or 10th. More hands-on learning would help. Exams are frequent but manageable if you study. There are two unit exams and one practical and theory exam. The curriculum could be more modern and practical in some areas.

Placement Experience

2

Placements are decent enough. Like if you studied well and enhanced skills as well, you can easily get placed. Students are eligible from the 6th semester. Companies like Eitcher and Entab visit, with many offers. The highest package is 2.4 LPA , and the average is 2LPA. About 30% of students get placed. I plan is to pursue MCA after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees is Rs. 30,000/yr. Distruibution of fees is as follows: Tution fees ( 10230 ), Development fees ( 990 ), Exam fees ( 1000 ), Registration and other charges ( 3930 ) and Job Readiness Program fees ( 500 ). All other branches almost have same fees exlcuding BFSI ( 40000/yr ). Fees remains 30000 only. It does not change. There are no scholorhips provided by college. Students have to opt-in by themselves if they qualify for some scholorship

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good! We have the annual fests and multiple club events like tech events, dance events, rap events, art events etc. The library has a lot of books and good infrastructure. Classrooms are well-equipped with computers, ACs, fans, furniture. Sports and clubs like cricket, badminton events enhance student life. There is a big ground for multiple sports like basketball, football.

Admission

I also applied to Guru gobind singh indraprastha university but it was too far away from my location. While on the other hand, my college was just 10 min away from my location. I had a good percentage and reservation benefits so I could easily get admission in some other colleges but I choosed to prefer the nearest college. Admission process of my college is done on the basic of 12th merit. The Cut off is very low like 50% and there are seats reserved for lower casts as well.

Faculty

4

Faculty is mostly helpful and hard working, with some being strict or lazy to teach. Course structure is good. It is similiar to other courses like BCA, BSC Exams are fair if you study regularly. Support is available for struggling students like teachers give extra classes if required. Overall, a good environment for learning with room for improvement.

Interview Experience

4

There are no Group Discussion, Interview or any kind of written test for the admission. Admission is based on the merit. You need to fill an application for the admission. After getting the name in the merit list. You have to visit college for the document verification or physical councelling.

Other Applied Colleges

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - [GGSIPU] | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]

It was too far away from my place. While on the other hand, YMCA was just 10 min away.
