Think once to take admission in Chandigarh University.

In foundation of design courses they teaches us all type of design course basics like i am from industrial design but i need to study some part of fashion, interior, and fine art also for developing a designer's mindset.

As i am a design student so i know the intership program of my department. In my course there is mandatory internship of one semester. University provides internship to industrial design students in their last year.

Companies are come for hiring students. But for our departments they are very less companies comes. Last year in interior design only 4 students were placed. And in design department the highest placement package is 7LPA only.

Fee structure: Semester fee is 925000 There are some scholarships that provides by University. One of the University scholarships is university scholarships by CUCET. Its a University exam in which you score more get more scholarships. Like if you score 80-90 marks you will get 50% scholarships and if you score 90-100 you will get 100% Semester scholarship. Beyond this there is security and examination fees also. Security fee is 2000 and examination fee is 2500

My overall experience is okay okay with campus life. Not so good not so bad. I am in campus Hosteler but my college is almost 1km far away from my hostel. 10-15 minutes takes to reach college or academic block from hostel. There are international students also. Every Student need to join atleast one university club. Because its mandatory and club membership price is 100rs. There are sports ground also. Wifi available in academic block and lan connection available in hostel.

Hostel facilities are not so good. During orientation and induction programme they cook very nice food because parents are coming with new students for admission or roon allotment. But after a week they start decreasing the quality of good and now they cook below average food. Menu is good but quality is not good. You can check mess menu on CU Meal app available on Play Store. Hostel rooms are also consisted especially 4 seater. 4 seater room fees is 120000, and 5 seater fees is 107000.

I applied for WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DEiSIGN, Sonepat, Haryana. I cleared their exams with interview round. But due to high fees of college. I decided to take admission in chandigarh university because the fees of CU is low in comparison of other design colleges.

The faculty members of Design department is really nice. They are friendly in nature. Ready to help students. Teaching style is good. (Exceptional are there). Course structure: There are 6 main subject of design course in 1st semester. And one University Course that is General Profency course. In which University provide sports, online, LinkedIn or many other courses in which you have to choose only one. According to your interest.
