Likes

The first thing that comes to your mind when you heard of Delhi University is obviously the North Campus....and believe me North Campus stands at its reputation....it has a vibrant campus life... often you'll find sports,drama,nukkad natak.
The roadside stalls near the colleges in North Campus steals the show...the are full of spicy foods and the shops nearby is very accessible if you stay near college
One of the biggest plus point of Delhi University is it's increadible diversity which it offers... You will encounter people speaking different dialects , different language and having different culture.. Even you will encounter people from NorthEast

Dislikes

Nothing much but politics and if this thing is shorted out college will shine
Caste based politics is present in some of the colleges though not very prevalent

Course Curriculum Overview

Delhi University is heaven for those who wants something extra than only academics...All study no fun makes one a dull boy...Delhi University is very good for reasearch orientation studies...and the syllabus that this university follows is very standard...even every year all the UPSC toppers come from Delhi University only

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi University is itself a brand....and reality is it stands at its reputation...I spent good chunk of years their....that too during covid...the university took a great care of us during covid also...and coming to the point of teachers,they all are very experienced and highly supportive that you can't get anywhere else easily.... Thank God if you've got DU and pray God if you haven't...

Campus Life

Social life at Delhi University is very diverse and culturally rich... you'll encounter people from North East India also.. people from south india also...that makes you feel their culture.. you'll celebrate Onam every year...apart from it you'll get an opportunity to interact with best minds of the country

Admission

I applied for Delhi University based on my marks in class 12 and I got Ramjas College...The day of admission I reached there and waited in canteen had a good brisk lunch and then went for admission they checked my certificates and payment was made online...

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is very good ...there is one teacher for every 30 students which makes it very affordable and accessible for students to reach teachers even in the smallest doubt...exams will be every six months, semester wise exams will be there and you will have enough opportunities to prepare for exams ...

The placements of KIRORI MAL COLLEGE had shown a much outgrowth over the years. The students become eligible for college placements by the final year itself. Major complanies like google,amazon ,meta, picapool, deloitte, hewlett-packard, dell ,TCS, infosys, Wipro and many more. The highest packafe was over 23LPA while the median package was above 7LPA. My views on KMC . A final year student

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course (B.Sc Hons. Mathematics ) is more focused towards descriptive and theoritical method since my course belong to pure mathematics along with that I have statistics in my generic elective (GE) which is more application based. Our course is structured more towards reseach part. Whereas the commerce and economics courses are more relevant to practical industry knowldege. The usual struture is divided into two part in each sem generally known as end and mid sem exam. Whereas there exist weekly and monthly examination which majorly depends upon the teaching style of the faculty.

Reality of a top North campus college - Kirori mal College

Placement Experience:

The placement offered in our college is decent. All the third year and fourth year students are allowed to sit in the placement process.the placement process starts from July and continue till next year's june, Top companies which visited are - D.E, Shaw , Accenture , LEK capibilities network , ZS associates. The Highest package offered was 25 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA Around 70% of the students who participate in the placement drive gets placed.

There are a lot of companies that come and offer students placements, like the big 4 accounting firms, D.E. Shaw, Tres Vista, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Zomato, Amazon, etc. The highest package provided overall was 23.05 LPA by D.E. Shaw. Average Accepted Package is 10.05 LPA. Average packages offered were 7.24 LPA. and the Median Package is 6.67 LPA.

Kirori mal college a nice college filled with greenery and enthusiasm

Placement Experience:

The placement in this college is good.Many companies come to the college to give placements.the students who are from fifth or sixth semester are eligible for campus selection and can sit in interviews taken by companies.The companies .like Wipro, Amazon, PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, McKinsey & company, Zomato, EY, etc. come to the college.according to previous record companies provide 176 offers.The highest package offered was rupees 23.05 LPA and the average package offered was rrupees 7.25 LPA.Last year 172 students get placements via campus placement.My plan is to go for post graduation after getting this degree.
