A blunt review of MCC

I applied to St. Joseph College of Commerce and Sheshadripuram college of commerce. From these I got a confirmation from Sheshadripuram college as I was meeting their cutoff needs. Whereas in SJCC I didn't get a confirmation and I got rehected dur to my 1st puc marks as they were quite low and the cutoff percentage there was high. So I dropped the plan and chose MCC as this is oke of the top commerce college in Bengaluru and also one of my favorites due to their famous college fests and their faculty. I chose this over others because this was quite near to my location and was convenient and also it had a good reputation than the other colleges. The admission process here is simple, first I had to fill in the online application form and there were walk-in admissions and after that I visited my college showed them my application and my eligibility was met and after that I was guided to the counter of verifying documents and at last the fee payment counter and finally after paying 50 percent of my fee amount my seat was booked and I got in. I applied in Christ University for a B.Sc. in Biotechnology but did not end up going to Christ when I heard about it's cons that it focuses more on its outer image rather than imparting quality knowledge. I chose MCC over Christ because it has better placements and better opportunities than Christ. i had applied for presidency university and mount carmel and i got approved from both the colleges i choose MCC mainly because of timmings and transportation issues MCC is near to my home which takes my mostly 10-15 mins to reach in traffic but presidency is really far from my home it would take me 1-1:30 hrs to reach without any traffic...Read More

The admission process is quite simple atleast for bcom, I chose this college because I liked the framework of the curriculum, the fee structure made sense to me and it had better placement opportunities than other colleges. I didn't face any rejection from other colleges, I got accepted there also but I chose to join mcc....Read More

So the other college I applied to was Christ University with a confirmed admission and I got into MCC with a confirmed admission but I chose McC because Christ was too far for me...No I really didn't get rejected at other colleges because I didn't apply to that many,maybe I needed more grades and that's why they rejected me...The admission process is where you have to stand on like for admission, sign papers and meet the principle and only those with about 80% are eligible and you don't have to write an entrance exam to get into Mount Carmel's...The cutoffs are above 80% for normal students and for Catholics it's a little less like 65%...Read More
