The university is well known and the way they handle all the things inside the campus is really well. I feel blessed that i got the opportunity to br a part of such a great college. Flaws are there in every place but here they are not so big to be highlited.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is more than other University. Each semester consists of 9 papers. In five years, one needs to appear for 90 papers in total. Exam marking pattern is relaxed when compared to govt colleges and one can easily score good marks
Placement Experience
Amity Univeristy is a Global University and have earned quite a name for the placements that they provide. Although the Kolkata campus is new and the 3 yeats Graduation students are going to graduate this years. Companies like flipkart, amazon, byjus have visited the campus
College Events
The campus hosts 22 departments and departmental events goes on every now and then. Almost every week some or the other department is having their event. Expect that,the university organises a annual fest 'Amiphoria', which is a three day fest and celebs are invited to perform
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are more when compared to other colleges in Kolkata. For my 5 years law degree, they are charging 8.6 lakhs in total. The fees are diff depending upon the department and course but they are more on a larger basis
Fees and Financial Aid
The university offers 100% scholarship for students who score more than 95%. 50% for students scoring 90 and above. They also assist you in availing bank loan and a bank loan desk is placed at the time of admissions
Campus Life
The campus has a sports complex, a swimming pool is being constructed. Almost all depts have their respective labs. For law students we have a separate moot court. Sangathan is conducted every year which is a annual sports meet
Hostel Facilities
No i haven't opted for the hostel. Amity has a 13 storeys separate hostel for both boys and girls. All the rooms are air conditioned and well maintained. The campus also has three canteens where hostel students can avail food
Alumni/Alumna
Amity university has a huge alumni networks. The alumni help in getting a lot of placements. They are really helpful. It also has a integrated alumni network sote where one can register himself and sought help.
Admission
One needs to fill up an online form of ?1100 through www.amity.edu. following which an admission test and an interview is scheduled. If the candidate is selected, the selection will be confirmed in the website and he need to pay the sem 1 fees to complete the admission procedure
Faculty
Faculties are mostly doctorate or ar pursuading doctoral courses. They are really knowledgable and their behavior towards the students are preety good. One can approach any faculty and anytime and they are more than waiting to help.
