Mechanical engineering in GCOEA

Government College of Engineering Amravati is one of the best engineering institute in Central India. Education and placement is good that is rare to find in other colleges in same area. As the government institute you will find best students as cutoffs are higher than other colleges.

Our college was an government autonomous college and one of the best in vidarbha. Curriculum was way ahead than respective university colleges along with it placement was also good. Exam structure includes CT1, CT2 and the end semester exam.

Placement was one of the best in vidarbha. Number of companies were recruiting from our college ex. Cognizant, wipro, fluor Daniel, John deere, etc. At that time college was not providing internships.

Number of events were organized ex. Technical events like Prajwalan, cultural events, various workshops on hacking, National Social Service, etc. Participation was from inter district level. Whole organization for that was done by students.

As it was government college fees structure was not expensive. There were not hidden fees like in private collage. For a year they will charge you around 50000Rs. For students belonging to backward classes scholarships were available.

SBI was offering educational loans. But as fees structure was not expensive I did not felt need to take loan. Government of Maharashtra, Government of India were offering scholarships for economically backward, backward class students.

Various events were organized in college from cultural to technical and they were very famous in Maharashtra. Labs are well equipped. Various sports events within college were also organized. But they were mostly at inter departmental level.

Our college alumni were at big positions in reputed companies. They used to visit our college time to time, providing guidance and donations to college. Senior students are also very friendly there were no ragging incidents in our college.

MHT CET entrance examination, after that you need to fill option forms, based on your score you will be alloted seats. There were 3 rounds of admission and the 4th one was counceling round. After seat was allocated you needed to go to the respective college along with your original documents for admission.

There were number of PhD holders in our college staff. They do have great experience in teaching. Practical labs were well equipped as compared to other colleges in that area. Our mechaical building was old but rest of the college buildings were upto mark.
