- There is a lack of sports facilities, and the emphasis on sports is minimal.
- There is only one canteen, which lacks a seating area and functions more like a shop with a limited selection of food items.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is moderately relevant to the current demands of the IT industry. Provides essential knowledge for industrial readiness but some of the subjects needs to get updated with new demands in industry . The curriculum offers a basic balance of theory and hands-on experience while teachers methods are traditional. More integration of modern teaching methods, such as online resources are needed and intership to enhance real world experience too. Sessional exams happens in every 6 months, the level of difficulty is moderate allowing students to perform well with basic preparation.
Internships Opportunities
When it comes to intership you are primarily on your own, the college will help you with paper work mostly , but you need to activately seek out opportunities and deelop skills independently. While the college provides just basic guidance.
Placement Experience
The job placement opportunities at this college are quite good. If you have te right skills, there are many career growth options available. Students become eligible for applying job after 6th semester. Some of major companies visited in the year of 2024 are : Zs associates 52 offers , Newgen 16 offers , Veersa Technologies with 19 offers , Grayopus with 21 offers, tech Mahindra 10 offers , polestar 12 offers , corizo with 24 offers , talent serve with 75 offers and much more, The highest package is 50lpa and average package is around 7lpa. Around 70 person of students gets placed in oncampus or off campus both, but I didn't applied for placements my plans after college is to pursue MBA and apply for CAT.
Fees and Financial Aid
During the admission process, you are required to pay ?40,000 for registration, and the remaining fees for that year will be paid at the time of admission. This applies only to the first year. For the next three years, the college's yearly fee structure is as follows: Tuition Fee: ?1,17,300 University Fee: ?15,000 Student Activity Fee: ?1,000 Total: ?1,33,000 Additionally, there is a ?2,000 placement fee in the final year. Note: The fees are the same for all categories, with no reductions for SC or OBC students. However, you can apply for the Delhi Merit-cum-Scholarship and various other Delhi government scholarships. This the amount that I paid , but now updated tution fee is Rs.1,39,000 and University few is Rs. 20,000.
Campus Life
Life on campus is pretty moderate, completely dependends on the amout of good friends you can make , cause campus area isn't very large , which limits the availability of sports and adventure activities. It only have a football field, and while there's an underground basement for table tennis , overallsports facilities are quite few, the college have two major fest , one technical fest named genesis and one annual cultural fest named evansis. The library have plenty of books and access to journals, there is a book bank too, which can provide you books for each semester for free, overall campus life is good.
Hostel Facilities
I opted for hostels because I was an outside Delhi student, there aren't many seats available, so hostels tend to prioritise students from outside Delhi. The registration process is easy and takes few hours only . Each room can accommodate 2 students and students can opt for single room they have too pay more for that, corridors and bathrooms cleaned. Mess is on the ground floor, I heard ingenral mess food are bad but not this one , the food is decent, with weekly rotation of dishes. Annual hostel fees is Rs. 65,000 in the for an year at the time I joined, the hostel is located inside the campus , so after the college shift ends after 4 whole whole college is for hoteliers, and trust me taking hostel is the best decision of your life , hostel life will give you friends for life and memories to remember for life.
Admission
I almost applied to every NIT , BIT meshram and then applied to top 4 colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University , and in final I got a seat in BIT meshra (civil branch) , Maharaja agrasen institute of technology (IT) and maharaja surajmal institute of technology (IT) , I didn't go for BIT meshra cause I didn't want civil branch and in further I choose MSIT over MAIT, cause MSIT was performing better in placement at that time, so ended up there in MSIT. The admission process is same as NITs with jee mains score , you have to apply for colleges in the university, rank them in order of desire , then you have to wait for three rounds, in which upgradation can happen, then you have to submit your selection with Rs. 40,000 registration fees to lock your seat and then visit college for further paperwork. Over-all it's not much of a hefty process, it's one day work.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is around 23:500 , however the faculty is quite approachable and share decent relationship. The faculty is well qualified, though not all are PhD holders. There is a mixture of PhD and Mtech graduates, but they are knowledgeable, supportive, and competent in their teaching. The teaching methods are fairly traditional, using green and white boards with markers , but everything is well organised, the class is well scheduled. Exams are of average are of average difficulty, allowing you to score well with just two days of preparation. The exams include a balanced theoretical and problem-solving approach questions which are not too tough. For sessional exams , students are required to attend different college as the exam center. Only 7-8 students failed in the class of 120.
