Course Curriculum Overview
THERE IS NO PATTERN! Each professor has his own way of giving exams. Some may give 2 questions for 50 marks, some may give 20 questions for 10 marks. Anyway, the exact value of final marks won't matter as they would give you Grade, not marks. Leaving alone the pattern, let me tell you about the content of the paper. There will be NO THEORY QUESTIONS. Yes! Only problems involving logic, application of concepts and calculations. Never you will get questions like "What are differences between multimode fibers and single mode fibers. Explain in detail" or "Define Probability. What is auto-correlation?". You won't even get already existing problems. This happened a lot in my B.Tech. Though few questions are problem-solving oriented, the same question is already seen in previous papers or some textbooks with the values unchanged! :) So, you could by-heart it and write it as well.
Placement Experience
Some of the mass recruiters like TCS, Infy, Wipro, etc will allow all the M.Tech grads irrespective of the branches. Finally, Some universities will also visit the campus especially to recruit M.Tech grads for the faculty position with a decent salary. So, the bottom line is that NITs do have good placements for M.Tech,

It is lagging only in terms of infrastructure but its ranking comes in one of the five NITs in terms of placement. Infrastructure work is going on at a great pace after 2012.
