Remarks
Positive- Rules in VIT are very good as it makes student maintain discipline.Such as the anti-ragging policy and no drinking and use of narcotics policy. Negative- VIT is co-education but there are many restrictions for boys and girls they are not allowed to be close and security have every right who are wearing red tags to stop and it may make you feel embarrassing also the faculty is not up to par and student population is very high compared to other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a very flexible total of 4 years of engineering is divided into 8 semesters. From the second semester we can choose our own courses it is a fully flexible credit system. For us, we need to complete 180 credits from next year that is the forthcoming batches that may need to complete 125 credits.
Placement Experience
Placements in VIT are pretty good even this depends on the student himself CGPA and club and workshop participation depends on the most for your job opportunity. Even internships matter for your work experience.
College Events
Gravitas- It is a technical fest done by clubs and chapters present in the university. It is related to the practical application of your knowledge. Riveria- It is a cultural fest which is mostly related to the enjoyment of students, stress-relieving event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Based on your rank which you got after writing the VITEEE exam your fees may vary from 2lakhs to 5lakhs. There are a total of 5 types of fee structures. For the 1st category, it is nearly 2 lakhs and for 3 rd category it is 3 lakhs nearly and for the 5th category, it is 5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship I don't think there are any u are already getting concession in fees after writing a vitee exam based on your rank. Loan facility is available for poor families but respected documents should be submitted as per VIT such as income statement etc.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are excellent in VIT every month or every two months competitions are held on sports activities. every week u will have a lab and u will be allotted a free hour for the lab for extra work u are left to do. Literature and coding competitions are kept frequently and prize money is also given.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel fees and infrastructure is average. every floor has two common bathrooms depending on the block it may vary.bathrooms are the ok type not so clean not so dirty. rooms may vary from block to block some are vast and some are congested depending on which block you get.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an alumni network on the official VIT webpage. Each and every student's details are present in the alumni network. If you are a fresher most of the information about the college you can get from seniors and they are very helpful.
Faculty
It depends on the faculty u get some may be very bad faculty who can be very rude and show partiality towards them. Everything depends on the student himself, how he chooses his/her faculty, you can get very little or no help based on your participation in class.
